The Case of My Childhood Friend Who Became a Very Popular Model and Came Back to Fulfill a Promise We Made When We Were Children
Execution Princess.
That is the nickname given to Kurosaki Haruka. Haruka is popular. Her long black hair is silky and beautiful, and her eyes and nose are well-defined. In addition, she has large breasts that attract the attention of male students. She is truly a devilish woman, but she is not interested in any kind of romance, and she is always rejecting confessions of love.
Then, one more male student, who falls prey to her, approaches her.
“Hey, Kurosaki-san, let’s exchange contact information.”
The male student who approached Haruka is Hanyu Yosho. He is a handsome boy who is popular with all the girls.
“Why?”
“Because I want to be friends with Kurosaki-san.”
“I see. I refuse.”
“W-Why?”
Perhaps being turned down was unexpected, as a hint of agitation was heard in Hanyu’s voice. Haruka looked him straight in the eye and spoke clearly.
“I don’t want to be friends with you. You annoy me, so don’t talk to me from now on.”
The boys in the class tensed up at the execution, which was so merciless.
“No way. Even a hanyu can’t do it?”
“If Hanyu can’t do it, there are no boys in this school who can get along with Kurosaki-san.”
Hanyu slumped his shoulders and left.
Haruka let out a sigh and took a seat next to me.
“Really, why do boys always have such ulterior motives?”
It is only because Haruka is a beautiful girl. There are plenty of boys who would love to get close to Haruka. But Haruka won’t allow it. I used to be one of those boys who had the hots for Haruka.
Now, I’m here in a time jump. I’m back in the second year of high school fifteen years ago.
Haruka and I were a married couple. I fell in love with Haruka when I was in high school and approached her many times. It was not easy to melt the hardened ice. I was rejected many times and got back up many times. I continued to attack Haruka and took the entrance exam to the same university as her. My feelings bore fruit and Haruka accepted my confession.
Then we got married and became husband and wife. However, the happy period did not last long. We were both busy with work and didn’t have much time to spend together, and our paths began to cross. We fought over trivial things, and the time when we didn’t talk increased.
Toward the end, I started to ignore the other person’s existence. I loved her so much, but when we got married, things didn’t work out and my love for her cooled off.
That’s why I want to start my life over successfully in this world where I have time leapt. This time, I would not attack Haruka, and I would aim for a future in which I would be happy with someone else.
I had vowed to do so.
However, the reality was going in a different direction from what I had expected.
“Hey, Shinohara-kun. I wonder if we can exchange contact information.”
For some reason, Haruka was aggressively trying to shorten the distance between us. In the past, Haruka has never tried to close the distance between us.
“No, I’m too embarrassed to put in a girl’s contact information.”
“Ara, you just don’t have to worry about what people think. I just want to be friends with you.”
I wish I could be as forceful in my refusal as Haruka, who is called the Princess of Execution. But unfortunately, I have a different personality. Haruka’s appearance is back to the school days when I liked her, and I can’t resist her strongly.
“If you just want to contact me…”
“Thank you.”
I take out my phone and exchange contact information. Naturally, the scene was witnessed by my classmates. My classmates were watching the situation with rounded eyes.
“Nice to meet you, Shinohara-kun.
Well, as a token of our closeness, would you like to go to the movies with me?”
“No, I have some business to attend to.”
“I’ll set a date for you.”
With that being said, my escape route was blocked. I let out a sigh and she suggested, “How about next Saturday?”
“Saturday. Okay, I’ll look forward to it”
Haruka’s eyes narrowed in excitement.
What the hell is going on? Is this a different world from the one I’ve been living in? In high school, Haruka was never interested in me. And yet, Haruka in this world is acting as if she even likes me.
But no matter how much she likes me, I have no intention of responding to her feelings. Our marriage has failed. It’s over. We are over.
“What kind of movies do you like, Shinohara-kun?”
“I’m fine with anything.”
“Then let’s go with this anime one.”
“Eh?”
“What’s wrong?”
“No, nothing.”
I was surprised. I was surprised that Haruka would choose anime. I remember that Haruka didn’t want to watch any anime when she was a student, let alone after she married me. Haruka liked movies that were more horror oriented, and I was often forced to accompany her to them.
But if it was an animated movie, I wouldn’t be bored either.
I must treat Haruka as a friend. I must not let her go further than that. For my sake and Haruka’s sake. It is possible that she will be happier if she gets married to someone different from me.
Suddenly, the last scene flashes back to me. Haruka had signed the divorce papers, her eyes sad and downcast.
“How did it come to this?”
She covered her eyes with her hands and let the tears flow. I remember it vividly because I didn’t think such feelings existed. I looked back on our marriage and had no regrets. I had done all I could do. so I had no intention of starting over.
