High School Life (Marriage Hunting) in a World Where the Male-female Ratio is 1:15 and Chastity is Reversed

Two stories. Second half.

—————————————

The scavenger hunt, the highlight of the sports festival, will be held in the afternoon, so the first thing to do is to eat !

Naturally, the man who is the main attraction of the recreation also joined in the afternoon today.

So, let’s eat right away ! It was lunch break, so Saya naturally decided to invite Mirei san to join us.

The three of us spread out a leisure sheet in the schoolyard and sat down together. It’s nice to eat outside like this. It gives us an extraordinary feeling. A picnic during summer vacation is a good idea, isn’t it?

Then, the three of us, including Mirei san, eat the bento that Saya has prepared for us. The amount of food for the three of us is nothing short of amazing. That’s my Saya !

“Mirei san, you were fast. I was surprised.”

“Not at all. I’ve been exercising since I was a child.”

Oops? You seem to be a little bit proud of yourself, don’t you? You don’t even noticed that your mouth is smiling. So cute.

“No, it was amazing ! It was cool ! —You were so fast, are you gonna run in the relay too?”

“Yes. —Tatsuya san, will you be cheering for me?”

“Of course I will ! Good luck, I’ll be cheering on you !”

“Me too ! Good luck, Mirei san !”

Mmm. I see, Saya also calls her Mirei san.

I feel a little bit of jealousy… It may not come naturally, but I’ll take a step forward.

“Mirei, open your mouth. Here, ah-nn.”

“A-aah.”

It may have been too sudden, but Mirei ate the omelet with her face bright red.

“Ahn ! Aaan !”

Ah, there’s a baby bird here too.

Sorry Saya. I do it sometimes, and I prioritized Mirei san. Here you go.

I realized after I did it that there are students around me doing this too… It was embarrassing. After that, I did it a few times while feeling embarrassed, and they were satisfied with it.

The first event in the afternoon is a relay race, followed by a scavenger hunt to finish the festival.

The relays were divided by class, with five runners per class, and the top two classes would make it to the finals.

Most of the students were cheering enthusiastically, probably because the competition ended at this point.

The results of the relay for our class 1-C were interesting….

Yeah. We lost in the preliminary round. But it couldn’t be helped.

There was no way we could have won if there were kids from the track team that came in with a recommendation in the other classes. They will go to the Olympics in the future. I know it.

After the race, Mirei san was a little teary. I have to go comfort her ! !

“Good job. You did your best.”

I hugged Mirei san while saying that to her. Let’s put away the crying face. Of course, I patted her head. It’s a habit.

“Thank you…”

I say this, and as Mirei san nuzzles my face against her chest, she occasionally calls my name, which makes me feel nervous.

Yeah yeah. There’s no need to apologize. Everyone was clapping, right? You did your best.

While I was consoling her, the finals began and ended with loud cheers. It looks like the white team is going to win. Let’s win next year !

During the final, Mirei san was in a hugging mode. She seemed depressed at first, but I was sure she had recovered by now !? But she didn’t leave. I could feel her strong will not to be separated from me.

Then the boys were called to the starting point for the scavenger hunt, the highlight of the sports festival.

Before we moved, Mirei san grabbed me by the sleeve to see if I still had enough energy in me. Um? I have to move, you know? She managed to move away from me, but I’ll be coming back to pick her up soon.

Looking around, I see a few people here and there with different colors of pants in their gym uniforms. Are they seniors? It looks like they were called to the school. As expected, they didn’t do it in their uniforms.

The order in which I run is—-yeah, I’m the second one. There are only 30 guys in a grade, so it takes 6 times to finish. Well, that’s a pretty good time, isn’t it?

While watching the first race, I had a strange feeling… It seems to be going too smoothly, doesn’t it? The girls who came to pick them up looked happy, but not surprised, right? This is the usual… They’re double-checking, right? (Great deduction)

As I was thinking about it, it was my turn in no time.

By the way, the note I wrote is the girl I want as my fiancée. I was so surprised.

Well, it’s already obvious, or rather, already known.

I could have written something about the person I was going to propose to, but it would have been too embarrassing to do it in front of everyone, and the person I was going to propose to also felt the same way. And I don’t have the guts to do it ! Besides, I just applied for the ring and haven’t received it yet.

But yeah. I want her to be by my side as my fiancée during the summer vacation, and maybe I’ll propose to her on our next date.

I know from Saya’s reaction and Mirei san’s attitude that it’s absolutely fine, but I’m nervous.

No, wait. The next date is at a restaurant…. I feel like I’m putting a lot of effort into it, and it’s embarrassing. I’ll decide before the summer vacation !

Well, it’s not something to think about now. For now, I’m just going to enjoy the scavenger hunt.

And so the scavenger hunt begins. As soon as the start signal is given, I start running.

I also checked Mirei san’s position with a side glance. She was with me in pampered mode just a while ago, and I found her immediately.

Then, I ran to the desk where a plate with her name politely written on it was hanging to get a note.

Eh? —–Why?

I checked the other nearby desks and found only one note.

I check my desk again and there are two. Why? Asakura? Where is it?

While I was fumbling around in confusion, I was the first to arrive, but one after another, the boys around me were taking notes and leaving.

I had no choice but to check my notes as I went to Mirei san, taking both of them.

[Subject: The girl I want as my fiancée. The other party: Ryuguji Mirei. Hold hands.]

Oh, so it’s mine first. I had to write this down exactly before I could get approval. Now, the next one is the problem.

[Akari, too, please.]

This is definitely not the time to tell them…

I’ll have to have a talk with her (Asakura sensei) when I’m done. I really wondered what was going on. What would she have done if I had only brought this….

And so, I finished in last place with Mirei san, who seemed to completely know what was coming.

Thus, we made it safely? I finished the sports festival.

Eh? What happened to Asakura sensei?

She was already in tears from that moment, and she told me that today is not the day, so I forgave her. I was pretty easy to fool.
