High School Life (Marriage Hunting) in a World Where the Male-female Ratio is 1:15 and Chastity is Reversed
Sakuraba High School is located on the border of Tokyo and Chiba prefectures.
The school grounds are vast, with a baseball field, soccer court, tennis court, and track court.
There is even a golf court on the grounds that open up to the mountains. There is a gymnasium, a dojo, an indoor swimming pool, and so on.
It is the best preparatory school in Japan, but it also offers an environment with sports recommendations.
We were in front of the third classroom on the east side of the first floor of Building A, where all the first-year students of Sakuraba High School study together.
First of all, the teacher who had been leading us up to this point knocked on the classroom door and summoned the teacher who would probably be our homeroom teacher inside.
She had semi-long brown hair and seemed to be a kind teacher with a calm atmosphere.
“Be right there. I’m Asakura Mizuki, your homeroom teacher~. look forward to working with you all this year.~”
Her tone of voice was laid-back, not unlike her image. Cute.
It’s a shame she’s wearing a ring, because only married people can be teachers and staff.
There used to be unmarried faculty members, but apparently there were some incidents where the faculty members were messing around with students or something, so they decided to make it only married people.
Besides, it seems some of them were in the second round of marriage activity, and that’s just the way it is.
The three of us boys returned Asakura sensei’s greeting lightly, and were urged to enter the classroom, so we did.
We were assigned seats, and by the time we got there, the girls seated there were looking at us with a lot of interest. I was a bit intimidated.
I didn’t get a cheer, but they just stared at me.
Some voices leaked out, [It’s a boy] though. I was smitten.
The assigned seat was, unexpectedly, in the middle of the classroom.
I was expecting to be grouped with the guys at the very back of the room, as men are often taken care of in this world, but I was wrong.
We were placed separately. In terms of front and back, we were all together in the middle, but only by the window and the hallway side and in the middle. I would have liked to be on the side if I could….
I took my seat and lightly nodded to the students sitting on either side of me, and they turned their cheeks.
S-so easy….
When I entered the classroom, I also thought that everyone was good looking.
It’s not that we draw the line at this school based on appearance, but rather, in this world, all the women are good-looking, as if they are easily chosen by men.
There are cute and beautiful types, and they all have their own personalities, but they all have pretty eyes and noses.
For some reason, this does not seem to be the case for men…work on your genes.
As I was thinking this, Asakura sensei made sure that everyone was seated and briefly introduced herself and explained the rules of school life.
To put it simply, she told us to arrive at school in time for morning HR, and so on.
A few minutes of explanation went by. By the time it was almost over, I could feel the excitement in the classroom.
I know. It’s almost time to introduce myself. You don’t want to make a bad first impression here. That would make me nervous.
Suddenly I think to myself. What about the order of introductions? I wondered.
Do men go first…? I was terrified, but then Asakura sensei, who had just finished her explanation, said with a smile
“Then, let’s introduce ourselves ! Some of the students might not be able to concentrate if the men go first, so the men will go last—erm, let’s start from the window, shall we? Let’s start with Asada san !”

Hmmm… They are all cute and beautiful, and their self-promotions are nice and likable.
I was just a bit in a daze, thinking how nice they all were, when it suddenly happened.
“I’m Ryuguji Mirei. Pleased to meet you all.”
T-that’s her tone of voice !? I stared at her, and was surprised again at the character I had only seen in comic books and anime.
I was surprised to see two magnificent croissants, partly because I had been in a daze just a moment ago.
No, I had missed the blonde vertical rolls. I couldn’t help but straighten my posture and listen attentively.
“I wanted to join the club, but I can’t because of family obligations. My hobby is tennis, which I played until junior high school. If I don’t find a partner by the time I graduate from high school, I’ll have to marry someone my parents decide for me, so I’d like to find a partner and get married while I’m still in school.”
“T-this girl ! She was trying to appeal to me, not casually, but with a blatantly wandering look…!
Oh, I’ll do it. If you want to !?
“Here ! Here ! I have a question for you, honey ! ! !”
Up until now, there had been a little bit of light banter between the girls so as not to interfere with the proceedings, but nothing like this.
And the people around were astonished when a man stood up to ask a question.
“Please, darling. You can ask me any questions you want.”
Ryuguji answered with a happy, smiling face.
Eh? Asakura sensei? I was so surprised that I couldn’t catch it in time.
And Ryuguji immediately responds to my call of honey by calling me darling.
I thought her eyes were a little fishy and her personality was a little harsh. But then I saw her smiling face.
We are on the same wavelength ! I can do it with her ! Thank goodness.
“Your home, uh, um. H-how tall are you?”
“I’m 167.3 cm.”
I’m so embarrassed. I want to run to the counselor’s office right now ! ! !
No, really, what’s the situation at home? I was going to ask that. I made a mistake when I tried to steer the conversation back to the other side of the line.
I realized it wasn’t something I should ask in front of everyone.
So it’s not my fault if it turned out to be such a question. Yeah. Can I go now?
“Thank you very much.”
I blushed and tried to sit down.
“I heard you say “home” a few minutes ago. I’m gonna study business management at my parent’s group company after high school. I hope that answers your question.”
I guessed the answer based on a single word that leaked out…huh? What a scary school.
And they always answer what I wanted to ask them.
“Yeah. Thank you very much. I’m sorry, everyone, for stopping you.”
I was so embarrassed that I had to sit down.
So embarrassing.
