High School Life (Marriage Hunting) in a World Where the Male-female Ratio is 1:15 and Chastity is Reversed
After leaving the Japanese restaurant, we walked back to my house together, but Saya said she was going to get her luggage first and we parted at the entrance.
She probably gave me a lift home. It’s certainly dangerous for a man to walk alone at night, but it’s still daytime, so I’m fine.
Ah, maybe she wanted to stay with me as long as possible. Yeah. That makes sense. It feels like that, and I’m glad that’s the case.
Well, I just moved in, so all the rooms are clean, but since I’m going to start living with Saya, I should do some light cleaning.
Actually, it’s not really dirty, so I’ll just wipe it down and clean it.
I don’t even know which of the two available rooms is better.
I should have asked her to take a look at the room…. I regretted it a little, but I thought to myself that it would be over quickly so I’ll just do both anyway.
I was not too tired, but I was sweating…..well. Or so I thought. But then, I suddenly realized.
Hm? Come to think of it, if she only brought light luggage, she definitely didn’t bring a futon either, right? I thought.
Of course, we don’t have a spare futon in our newly moved house.
————Yeah ! Whatever will be, will be !
I’ll ask Saya when she gets here !
It’s still early afternoon, so we can go shopping if we want to, and even if we have to sleep together, it’s a king-size bed, so we’ll be fine !
It’s a king-size bed, you know what I mean. Don’t make me say it.
Well, we’re engaged, right? We’re not married yet, but it’s like we’re married, so it shouldn’t be a problem to have our wedding night first !
Yeah. I’ll just have to decide what mood I’m in. I’m all for it.
If we were to sleep together, I’m not sure I could resist…no, in fact I’m not sure I would be able to resist !
No, wait. But I see. If I feel this way, do you think most women feel the same way…?
I suddenly feel much better. I’m going to lie on the sofa until Saya comes.
While lounging on the sofa, I turned on the TV and watched it, but no matter which program I changed the channel to, I gave up watching it because I was concerned about the women in light clothing. I was thinking about the night earlier, and now it’s a sight for sore eyes.
I remembered that I hadn’t told my mother about my engagement to Saya yet, so I called my mother and the rest of the time I just watched cat videos on an online video streaming site and just relaxed.
Just as I was killing time and starting to doze off like that, the house bell rang.
Come to think of it, I hadn’t given her the key because I thought we were supposed to enter the house together earlier.
I’ll give them to her later.
After confirming on the security monitor that it was Saya, I called out to her and unlocked the entrance.
Oh, yeah, that’s right. The apartment where I live is auto-locked.
The apartment I live in is conveniently located within a 15-minute walk to Sakuraba High School, and each room is spacious and secure.
The other residents are not exclusively related to Sakuraba High School, but it seems that most of them are. I have to make sure to greet them when I move in.
I thought I should make a proper greeting to the new residents, so what would be good for them? Soba? But my mother stopped me when I asked her.
I asked my mother what she thought would be a good choice.
You can’t just step into a man’s residence, his territory, so to speak, even if it’s at his doorstep. That goes for Tatsuya too, you know? She told me something like that.
I was going to get a delivery and pick it up at the door.
I guess there are still some things I don’t know about common sense in this world.
Well, that’s how my house is, but I didn’t see anyone near my apartment this morning, maybe some upperclassmen.
Today is the entrance ceremony, and apart from a few seniors, it’s an event for freshmen.
That said, there seem to be many such male-only apartments around the high school. (My apartment is one of them.) I heard that some guys stay there even after graduation.
And so, Saya arrived, looking as if she had been sent away ! When I welcomed her in, she stopped at the entrance and opened her mouth.
“Pardon the intrusion.”
Is she interrupting? I wonder? I didn’t know she was that type. New discovery.
I had seen her on the security monitor, but when I checked Saya’s appearance again, I saw her backpack and a large paper bag.
She had also changed from her school uniform into a light pink knit and a brown checkered wrap mini skirt. Cute.
Since her backpack was already on her back, she picked up the paper bags hanging from both hands as she spoke.
“From now on, it’s your home. Got it? Welcome home, Saya. Come on in.”
She must have been aware, because her cheeks were a little reddish.
“I’m home.”
She said shyly, but happily at the same time.
