How I, a Hated Person, Ended Up Staying With Three Beautiful Sisters
Morning came.
I was lying on the sofa, covered with a single blanket, and woke up not to the sound of birds chirping, but to the sizzling of a frying pan.
When I opened my eyes, I saw Akane senpai standing in the kitchen.
She was wearing an apron and frying eggs. She stood with good posture, blending strangely well with the kitchen bathed in morning sunlight.
“Good morning. Did you sleep well?”
“…Well, I think I would have been more comfortable if my feet weren’t tied up.”
Perhaps because I had just woken up, a sarcastic remark slipped out naturally. But I wasn’t being mean. It’s unreasonable to expect someone to sleep with their feet tied up.
Akari senpai smiled wryly, stopped what she was doing, and came over to me.
“Alright, alright, you must be tired. It’s morning now, so I’ll untie you. I’m a kind older sister, aren’t I? Even though I look like this, I’m the earliest to wake up in the morning and also in charge of everyone’s meals. Leave the untying to me !”
She knelt down and skillfully untied the ropes around my feet. Like Miyu yesterday, I wish she’d tell me how she did it. I tried kicking and struggling, but I couldn’t untie them.
“Thank you, Akane senpai.”
“Fufu, you’re welcome. How does it feel to have your ropes untied by a beautiful older sister?”
“It’s the worst.”
“Oh, you’re not being honest. Well, never mind, but don’t let your guard down, okay? If you try anything funny…”
“That’s not something you say with a smile.”
With my legs free, I went straight to the bathroom, then returned to the living room and sat down on the sofa again.
In the dining room, not only Akane senpai but also Maho and Miyu were there, both already dressed in their uniforms and ready to go.
“Let’s eat, then.”
Akane senpai said softly, and everyone clasped their hands together to begin the meal.
By the way, my meal was a separate menu. It was just the sandwich bread and barley tea I bought last night, and I didn’t get any of the freshly toasted bread, fried eggs, or sausages. My seat was also not at the luxurious dining table where the three of them were sitting, but at a slightly lower sofa table. Well, the sofa was more than soft enough, and the table was spacious and comfortable.
That aside, the atmosphere at the table wasn’t very good.
That was to be expected, as Maho was still in a tense mood and didn’t say a word.
When I glanced at Akane senpai to ask if it was always like this, she just laughed softly. It seemed that Maho was in a very bad mood. The cause was, of course, me, but there was nothing I could do about it.
What’s more concerning is Miyu’s gaze. She kept looking at me while shaking her lavender-colored hair.
“What is it?”
“…..Your backpack keychain.”
“Hm? Oh, it’s a souvenir from my favorite anime. I got it from a gacha machine. Do you hate stuff like this?”
“Not really.”
I thought I saw her smile for a moment.
“Did something happen?”
“…I don’t know.”
“Hm.”
The conversation ended. I didn’t know what she wanted to ask, but from then on, the atmosphere between the three sisters and me was somehow awkward.
And when the hellish breakfast time was over, Maho presented me with an outrageous condition.
It was,
“I forgot to mention this. You’re not allowed to move from the sofa until we’re done with our morning preparations. You can only move after we’ve left.”
That was it.
I raised my hand and asked,
“Will that give me enough time to get ready?”
“I don’t know. I’m sure you’ll manage somehow.”
She had imposed this condition on me, yet she was being irresponsible to the extreme. But then, Akane senpai came to my rescue.
“It’d be bad to make you late, so I’ll try to leave you enough time.”
Akane senpai, no, big sister, thank you.
“Stop smiling like that. Your eyes are creepy…you really are the pervert everyone says you are. I’m worried about your future if your hobby is raping female students.”
Maho spat out those words, then took Akane senpai and Miyu by the hand and left the living room.
I’d never heard that rumor before, but I wasn’t going to do anything about it now.
In any case, I couldn’t start my morning routine until the three sisters were ready.
Washing my face, brushing my teeth, combing my hair, changing into my uniform, checking my belongings, organizing my luggage—I had to finish all that in just over ten minutes.
It was like a time attack.
“What a cramped morning. But if I leave here, I’ll die of starvation…”
I muttered to myself on the sofa. Voices could be heard coming from the other side of the changing room. “Hey, do you know where my blazer is?” “I don’t have a comb !” “Oh no ! My ribbon is crooked !”…Girls’ mornings are noisy.
Incidentally, in the midst of the commotion, I didn’t say a word and studied hard for the midterm exams.
Twenty minutes passed, and it was past 8:00 a.m. Finally, the three sisters finished getting ready and hurriedly returned to the living room.
“Sorry to keep you waiting, Kojiro kun. You can start getting ready now.”
“Onii chan, don’t get carried away by the sweet smell.”
“Both of you ! Don’t pay attention to this guy, let’s go already ! You’re not drooling over them, are you?”
Maho stuck out her tongue and said, “Blegh !” Then she took the two of them by the hand and left.
–Bang…I heard the sound of the front door closing. Left behind, I was finally allowed to get up from the sofa.
“Well, time to get ready. Though, there’s no time at all…”
I hurried to the bathroom, washed my face, brushed my teeth, fixed my bedhead, and put on my uniform.
That’s when I noticed. My cheek hurts.
Looking closely, I could see it was slightly red. It must be from the slap Maho gave me yesterday.
It must have been quite powerful, as it left a minor bruise.
“I should put a patch on it.”
There were some patches left on the sofa table that Miyu had given me as insurance, so I put one on my right cheek and left.
The front door has an electronic lock, so I could lock it with one push. Incidentally, you need a card key to unlock it, but I didn’t have one. What am I going to do when I come back?
As I was thinking to myself, I saw Maho getting into the elevator.
“Ah ! I’m not going to give you a card key, so when you come back, just press the intercom downstairs. I’ll open it for you if I feel like it !”
That’s what she said.
Maho waved goodbye and left.
It seemed like she had been waiting just to say that.
Since she was going to say that anyway, I wanted her to let me ride the elevator too.

As soon as I arrived at school, I felt the atmosphere change.
The entrance.
As I was changing my shoes, the buzz around me naturally caught my ear.
“Did you see? That guy…he’s got a wet compress on his cheek. The executioner’s name isn’t just for show.”
“Maybe he just fell normally?”
“No, it’s not that. Apparently, he beat up thirty delinquents from another school after school yesterday and was still fine afterward.”
“Wow…the fact that he’s wearing a bandage is actually scary.”
“Apparently, he deliberately got hit to claim self-defense.”
“So, he sent thirty people to the hospital from there? He’s truly the Executioner. They called him that in middle school too, so it fits perfectly.”
He’s not just growing a fish’s tail fin; he’s already growing a dragon’s fin. If he swims the breaststroke, he might break the Japanese record.
Anyway, I don’t know who started it, but as usual, I’m recognized as a dangerous person.
Ignoring the whispers, I, the executioner, headed to the classroom in silence.
When I entered the classroom, the atmosphere changed slightly again.
Everyone’s eyes were on me, but no one spoke to me. The sound of chairs being pulled out echoed loudly.
After a while, Maho entered the classroom. It’s unfortunate that we’re in the same class. And it’s strange that she arrived later than me.
She glanced at the bandage on my right cheek once. It seems she didn’t notice it in the elevator.
Now, she looked uncomfortable and awkward, but she didn’t say anything.
I didn’t say anything either. There was no need to.
If everyone around me misunderstands and fears me on their own, and no one approaches me, then that’s fine.
It’s better than being asked awkward questions like, “Why do you have a bandage on?” or “Who did you fight with?”
So I don’t deny anything.
“…What a hassle.”
I muttered quietly while staring blankly out the window.
The May wind was still cold, but somehow comfortable,
and the wind that touched my bandage was the only thing that felt a little gentle.
