What did you just say, Dad? If I’m not mistaken, it sounded like you said Towa was going to live here with me as a maid.
No, no, no, what do you think I fired Kanade for? It was because being a maid, a job that requires you to be with your master all the time, takes away from her time, you know?
And yet, a new maid, plus a childhood friend Towa? If she was still a maid in her own right, it would be understandable.
Towa is a new student and in medical school. Of course she’s busy.
“It’s a decision. Of course, Towa has given her consent.”

“Shui kun, are you unhappy with me being your maid?”
Towa looks up at me, expressing her anxiety. There’s no way I could refuse when she shows me a face like that.
But if the idea of being a maid was forced upon me by Towa, then I would not be able to accept it.
Of course, Towa’s presence would make my life easier, just like the time I spent with Kanade.
I’m not very good at housework, or cooking or anything. Seriously, I have never been able to cook a decent meal.
In middle school and high school, I always left the cooking lessons to Kanade and my other friends who were in the same group. When the teacher came to watch, I would do something like that and get away with it.
“No way…. Of course I’m happy.”
“I’m glad. I’ll do my best from now on.”
“Yeah…”
Looking at Towa’s smile, it doesn’t matter anymore. It doesn’t look like she’s being forced to do it.
Oh, but there is one thing I absolutely have to confirm.
“Well then, I’m leaving. Take care of my son, Towa chan.”
“Yes ‼︎.”
As I watched my father leave, I thought about my life from now on.
“Once again, thank you, master.”
“I’m not the master. It makes me feel weird when Towa calls me that”
Maybe it’s because Kanade has never called me that until now. Having Towa call me master somehow makes my body tingle.
A maid who calls someone master these days… or rather, maids in general are rare. In my 20 years of life, I have never seen a boy with a maid other than me.
Maybe there are some in the upper class, but I have never seen a boy with a maid.
“What? Were you thinking something strange? Pervert Master.”
“It’s not like that.”
She’s grown so much that it’s hard to believe it’s been forever since she was a middle school student. Her personality and body…what am I thinking?
Even though she’s a girl, she’s a new maid. What kind of master would lust after a maid? Such a piece of junk is enough only in the two-dimensional world.

It was a bit too much of a leap of faith, but what has already been said can’t be helped.
Besides, she’s going to call me “master” no matter what. I’ll make her stop someday.
“Don’t worry, there’s no one I like. There is someone I’m after, though”
“Isn’t that what you call someone you like?”
“No, you really don’t have to worry about it.”
“Really?”
Well, Towa is like that, so there’s no need to push her away. I’m sure there will come a time when she will have to leave me.
“Yeah, more than that. I wish you could see my maid power. I think I can do many times more than what the master thinks. I’ll show you that I’m as good as Kanade.”
Towa then began to cook a late dinner. The menu was apparently a secret since it was her first time. I’m going to expect a lot from her since she said so many things that made me expect so much.
I’ll check inside the house while I’m at it. From the looks of it, the living room is already finished, and I’m sure there will be plenty to take care of in my room, the bathroom, and the rest of my life.
…Separate bedrooms, right? If you say, “From now on, we’ll sleep together in a double bed in the house,” I’ll never accept it.

When I lived with Kanade, we had the same room, but we had two beds.
Thanks to that, nothing strange ever happened…ever. A few times a month, maybe a few times a week, she would sneak onto my futon, saying she was sleepwalking.
I suspected it was on purpose, by the way.
