I Was Supposed to Be Giving Love Advice on the School Radio, but Before I Knew It, the Beautiful Girls at School Were Hitting on Me
The morning after Kitahara’s visit to our shop.
There wasn’t much to do, so I arrived at my classroom a little late.
The class was fairly crowded, but there was no one in the seat next to mine.
It is unusual that Kitahara is not here at this time of the day…….
I was listening to the radio on my earphones, feeling somewhat uneasy, when the chair next to me rattled and pulled.

“Morning, Kitahara….are you alright?”
Kitahara, who arrived at school late, was unusually exhausted and there was no life in her eyes, even though it’s still morning.
When I called out to her without thinking, she chuckled without effort.
“Yeah, I just didn’t get enough sleep, so don’t worry.”

Basically, in my mind, Kitahara is a perfect beauty, with a dignified image that doesn’t show even a moment’s weakness.
I’ve never seen her sleeping in class, and I always thought she was in perfect physical condition…..
Kitahara sat down and exhaled lightly.
“I got a little excited last night, and I couldn’t sleep.”
“Excited?”
“Yes, we had a non-negotiable fight. I’m not exaggerating when I say that it was the most heated battle I’ve had in years.”
“I hope you’re not talking about Kinami.”
I’ve been vaguely uneasy ever since I confirmed those two were leaving together.
I’m not sure if they get along or not……

Kitahara closed her eyes and shook her head slightly. It was a weak shake, but there was a powerful force to it.
“It’s okay. There’s nothing bad going on between me and Kinami san, so you don’t have to worry.”
If Kitahara says so, well, I guess I have to believe her……
“I don’t know, but it sounds like you had a hard time.”
“Ah, don’t worry, Kageyama kun. I won the match.”

Kitahara gave me a thumbs up.
I have no idea what there is to feel relieved about, but if she won, then that’s good…right?

Kitahara was muttering quietly. She was certainly tired, but she also looked like she was having fun.

I was on my way to the school cafeteria.
My mother was too busy to make me lunch today, so I came here clutching my wallet.
It had been a while since I had been here, but it was still quite crowded as usual. We have a cafeteria and a bread corner, both of which are filled with people.
I didn’t want to be unable to sit down in the cafeteria, so I went to the bread corner.
The space isn’t particularly large, so it feels more crowded than the number of people there, but there was still some space.
In the center of the space was a woman in a suit.
“The yakisoba bread over here has more rice noodles, but this one has more cabbage…… Hmmm, which one should I choose……?”
“Wow…….”
There was a newly graduated teacher grunting and groaning as she held a yakisoba bun in both hands.
She accidentally let out a yakisoba bun and quickly covered her mouth, but the people around erm had similar expressions on their faces.
However, she doesn’t seem to care at all about the gazes of those around her.
“Even so, haven’t these yakisoba buns been slightly reduced in quantity? Is it because prices are rising? Or are they just jumping on the bandwagon? Oh? Are you the same kind of person as those thin-skinned guys? Are you going to make my life harder?”
Finally, Mashiro sensei begins to take a stand against Pan.
I didn’t want people to think I knew her, so I decided to turn around and distance myself from her.
“Alright ! I’ve decided to go this way, the time has come for noodles !”
My walking pace picked up a notch.
And Sensei, maybe you should buy the one with more vegetables.

Leaving the bread corner, I headed toward the cafeteria.
I bought a meal ticket and received my kitsune udon at the counter.
I thought I ordered a normal serving, but the bowl on the tray contained more than one bowl of udon.
I wander around, thinking about where I should put this big thing quickly.
“Oh, there’s an empty seat over there.”
Luckily there was a seat available at the end.
I went around to sit down, and there was a familiar short haired girl sitting in the seat in front of me.
“Yo, Kinami, you mind if I sit here?”
“H-Henpai…….”
After speaking out of reflex, she chewed the food thoroughly and then swallowed it.
“It’s you Senpai, please take a sit.”
I sat down as Kinami indicated.
“It’s unusual for you to come to the cafeteria.”
“I didn’t have a bento today. I was going to buy some bread, but someone got mad about the yakisoba bread.”
“Someone got mad over yakisoba bread…..? What the heck.”
I’d like to hear it myself, to be honest.
I waved my hand at the dubious-looking Kinami and told her not to worry about it.
“Does Kinami come here often?”
“Well, I come here once or twice a week. The portions are large and inexpensive.”
She said like a member of an athletic club, and sure enough, there was a huge omurice sitting on her plate, just as she said.
The omurice, which was probably 1/3 eaten judging from its shape, was still big enough to cover both of my fists.
“It’s huge……”
I muttered to myself as I looked at the omurice, and Kinami looked at her omurice and my udon, and then made a face as if she had just realized something.
“T-that’s not true ! It’s not like I normally eat this much or anything !”
“What’s wrong?”
“No, I said, this is……oh yeah ! It’s binge eating !”
Although flustered, Kinami held up her finger.
“Binge eating? Did something bad happen?”
“Well, in some way…..”
As she spoke, Kinami’s face clouded over a little, as if she was remembering that incident.
“Actually, yesterday there was a match that I absolutely did not want to lose, and it’s really stressful, so I’ve been eating a lot.”
“Does that mean you didn’t win?”
“No, that’s not true ! I didn’t lose, I just let Senpai win !”
“I see, you let her win…….”
That’s a way of putting it.
“That’s right, since it was obvious that I would win, I just thought it would be a shame not to let her have the honor of being the one to shine in a situation like this !”
Saying this, she scooped up a heaping pile of omurice onto her spoon and took a bite.
“Gohoho.”
And then Kinami choked. She looked for a glass of water, but unfortunately, her glass was already empty.
“That’s because you eat so vigorously……”
“S-sorry.”
“Here, drink my water and calm down.”
“Thank you very much……”
Kinami drinks about 30% of my water.
Her breathing was still rough, but she seemed to gradually calm down as she took repeated deep breaths.
Once I was sure that everything had calmed down, I started eating my kitsune udon.

To be honest, I did not have high expectations for the noodles since it had been sitting for a while, but although the noodles were a little softer, they were still firm and tasty.
I bite into the fried tofu, and the broth oozes out from inside, filling my mouth.
“Surprisingly, it is very salty……”
Perhaps because it was originally seasoned strongly, my mouth began to seriously thirst for water.

“I’ll have some water.”

I took my cup from Kinami’s table and gulped it down in one gulp.
It moistens the throat and relaxes the whole body.

I sighed a little and looked up to see that for some reason, Kinami had turned red and frozen in place.
“What’s the matter, Kinami, did you find something you don’t like?”
“No, no, it’s nothing at all !”
As if to cover up something, Kinami took a big bite of the omurice again.

“What are you doing……”
“S-sorry…..”
“Gee, I’ll go pour some water, and you just sit there and be quiet.”

I took two cups of water and got up from my seat.
Even though she was looking down, Kinami’s face caught a glimpse and for some reason she looked satisfied.
