I Went Back in Time to 10 Years Ago and Saved My Young Lady Childhood Friend and She Became My Fiancee ~She’s Honest and Cool and Looks at Me Like She Wants to Be Cared For~

A ray of light was offered to me as I was frightened of being a loner when we decided on a group for an out-of-school field trip.

How Ayato was extending his hand to me with a soft smile.

What is it?

My heart throbbed.

“Shuusuke, did you hear me? Can’t you be in the group with me?”

“Ayato-sama ……”

“Wow. It’s weird to be called by someone like that.”

When I took his hand and worshipped it, he smiled and gave me some harsh words.

But anyway.

(It’s great that you’re teaming up with me like this ……!)

Yorumiya and Minamori are two very popular beautiful girls. I was obviously away from home, being in a group with those two. But Ayato had quickly and easily run for the team ahead of me. I was overwhelmingly grateful.

“……, can I join you?”

And thanks to Ayato, another member of the group came forward to join us.

He was a tough-looking yankee. Despite his rugged appearance, he was cautious.

“Isn’t that Onizaki-kun…..!”

“O-ou seems to be in high spirits.”

Onizaki-kun came to our office.

Onizaki is a very valuable person. He is quite intimidating, and I think it is hard for suspicious people to come near him if he is with us. The fact that he has a scary face is also encouraging.

I’m glad you’re here. But if you try to confess your feelings to Yorumiya, I’ll kick you in the heart.

“Please take care of me!”

“I didn’t expect such a welcome, but …… well, nice to meet you.”

Onizaki, oblivious to the danger, scratches his head with a face that looks as if he’s not in the least bit concerned.

Surprisingly, he’s not drooling over being with the two beautiful girls. If anything, he seems happy to be with me…? Am I being overly self-conscious?

Ayato asks the two girls.

“Yorumiya-san and Minamori-san, are you okay with us being together?”

“Y-yeah. I’m fine.”

“Yes, I’m fine.”

Yorumiya seemed a little nervous, but neither of them seemed to have any strange feelings about the distance between them and the girls at the moment. Ayato aside, Onizaki-kun probably seems to be the type of person who could use some attention.

Ayato points to the blackboard with a fresh smile.

“Then, I’m going to write down everyone’s name.”

So our group was decided. The other classmates, who were looking to join our group, were astonished. They looked at me and said, “It was first-come-first-served basis?”

Ayato wrote the names in beautiful handwriting. I was watching …… idly, and for some reason, the leader of the team was chosen to be me. What are you doing?

The faces of the classmates looking at the blackboard were variously regretful, or they seemed to be taking a lot of hate. Although I was prepared for it, I had drawn attention to myself. It might not be a very peaceful group anymore.

I have an image that Ayato doesn’t come forward when he is in the spotlight like this.

(Or rather, why did Ayato call out to me?)

And Onizaki-kun, by the way.

◇

After that lunch break.

“Shuusuke, would you like to have lunch with me? ”

It was a very rare invitation. Ayato and Onizaki. They are holding out a bulging plastic bag from a convenience store.

It was too sudden and Ayato’s smile was too fresh and scary.

“….okay, but I can’t give you anything.”

“Haha, what are you scared of? We’re just trying to deepen our friendship among our group members.”

The smile is so refreshing that it sounds meaningful. When you say deepening your friendship, you mean really deepening your friendship, right? You won’t be mugged or anything, right?

Onizaki also calls out to Ayato as if he is following him.

“Let’s eat together. We …… just had a weird conversation the other day, didn’t we?”

“….Well, maybe we did.”

I only spoke to Onizaki the other day in a corner. I don’t think we’ve ever had a normal conversation. Actually, I’m still bad at communicating with people, so I haven’t been able to talk to other people.

So, we came to the rooftop with a rather unusual group of people.

“Shuusuke. You seemed to be the only one in a hurry today, didn’t you?”

Ayato said as he peeled off the sandwich bag.

“I guess so.”

Onizaki-kun says, snapping open the lid of his cute bento case.

……What’s with this away mood?

“….. Onizaki-kun, your bento box is so cute.”

“Oh. My mom made it for me.”

The contents are a beautifully colored lunch box.

“What about Enami’s?”

“I have the one my mother made for me, too.”

The lunch box was filled with onigiri (rice balls) and other small side dishes in Tupperware.

Everyone began munching on their lunch, but they were …… silent. I want you to say something. We are not here to discuss bento, are we?

Eventually, I open my mouth.

“…… was I in a hurry?”

“looked like that.”

Onizaki-kun nodded at Ayato’s words.

I was in a hurry. If you ask me, everyone was thinking about Minamori, and there might have been a little less time to spare.

“Well, it’s okay for Shuusuke to be in a hurry. I just thought that if you’re in some kind of trouble, you might want to rely on me a little more.”

“Eh?”

Ayato is not smiling …… as usual, but there is a little bit of embarrassed color mixed in with his face.

The same goes for Onizaki.

“We’re classmates after all, so let’s get along. At least tell me if you’re in trouble.”

Apparently, he’d made the effort to join our group and invite me to lunch just to say something simple like that.

“Why…..?”

When I asked him why, he laughed bitterly, as if for some reason it was hard for him to say.

“Shuusuke doesn’t talk much to everyone.”

“You’re going to be misunderstood.”

They’re saying things like I’m the heroine of a girls’ game. This is all because I didn’t have any contact with my classmates.

But I’m grateful for that. I hadn’t been paying attention to my surroundings, but before I knew it, there was someone who cared about me.

It’s a reflection. I should pay more attention to my surroundings.

While I was thinking this, a message came through to my phone.

The sender was Minamori.

[I want you to explain about today’s meeting at the café after school! Meet at the café after school!]

(……, I don’t want to go there because I feel like I’m going to get in trouble.)

“…I’ve just come across a problem. Can I ask for your advice?”

“What’s wrong?”

“What’s wrong?”

“I’m about to get scolded for something I did, how can I avoid it?”

“I think you should be scolded maturely.”

“scolded like an adult.”

I was shocked at their very honest opinions.

But somehow, the distance between the two of us had shortened.
