I, Who Was Reincarnated as an Evil Character With Cheat-Level Stats in an Eroge, Will Live Freely in This Life
Some time passed, and today marked the start of July.
Kana’s birthday party with Miku and Saki had ended without incident.
Since I’d given Kana a spare key to my place, she sometimes came over to hang out, so my free time had dwindled considerably.
Kana always contacts me before coming over, but honestly, I don’t mind if she treats my place like her own home. I’d be perfectly fine with her just coming and going freely.
Well, I’m not exactly rushing her to do that, and I don’t plan on telling her to either.
Other than that, nothing much has changed. I’ve started talking to Miku and Saki more often myself, and I send them messages too.
They also message me frequently, so things are going smoothly, I guess?
I think things will be fine with them if we keep this up, but watching them, I’m also thinking maybe I should confess to them myself before too long.
I’m not so dense that I don’t notice the obvious affection they’re showing me.
Well, it’s only been about two months since we started hanging out, so I don’t think there’s any need to rush. I’ll just keep an eye on things.
But that brings up another problem I need to consider—the matter of Nanashima, who’s supposed to be the main character here…
It seems she hasn’t even told Nanashima about me dating Kana. And even without that, just mentioning my relationship with Nanashima caused that reaction. So telling Nanashima about dating Kana… and if I think about what would happen if I ended up dating Miku or Saki too, it’s pretty much guaranteed to cause more trouble.
That said, I’m not going to put off things with them just because of that.
I can’t even imagine how Nanashima’s situation will turn out, and thinking about it is just a waste of time. Keeping it in the back of my mind is probably best for now.
I’ve talked to Kana’s parents about it. As for Miku and Saki, they’re childhood friends, but that’s all.
Nanashima has no right to interfere in their romantic lives.
They’re middle and high schoolers, so it’s not unusual for their emotions to be unstable. But heartbreak is something everyone basically experiences at some point. I think they’ll be fine, even if they need to be careful.
“Well, it should be about time.”
Saying that, I opened a certain livestream on the computer I’d been touching.
It was Himekawa Ruruka’s stream.
After what happened, Saki hadn’t streamed or posted on social media. But the other day, she approached me, Kana, and Miku, saying she wanted to continue her activities as Himekawa Ruruka.
Of course, neither I nor Kana or Miku had any reason to object. In fact, we all thought it was great.
If anything comes up, we can help her out. We’re all fans, and friends.
Then, regarding this, Saki’s mom also contacted me. She said she heard from Kana that Saki would continue her activities and asked if we could lend a hand if anything came up.
She said that while Harumi-san would do anything she could for Saki, she might be away for work, and there are probably things we’d find easier to talk to me about.
I’m not entirely sure, but since that incident, it seems Harumi-san really likes me, or rather, she seems to trust me a lot now.
Well, even if Harumi san hadn’t asked, I would’ve acted for Saki’s sake anyway, but since she did ask… all the more reason.
“Man, she’s still crazy popular…”
The stream had only been up a few minutes, but already had 15,000 viewers.
This many people gathering is undoubtedly the result of Saki’s hard work and her charm.
Saki said she practices singing every single day, wanting to deliver better songs to everyone.
――After Saki’s stream ended, Kana called.
“Seito-senpai!! Did you see Saki-nee’s stream?”
“Yeah, I watched it.”
“Saki-nee really is amazing, isn’t she? I’m so glad she kept going with her activities. She looks so full of life too.”
“Yeah. Hiiragi looks really happy too.”
“Right? If anything happens, let’s be there for Saki-nee!!”
“Since Hiiragi decided to keep going, I’ll do whatever I can to help.”
“Hehe, Seito-senpai never judges us, or rather, you always support us and try to help, right?”
Kana said this with a happy smile.
“What’s with you all of a sudden?”
“Nothing, really. I just thought Seito-senpai is really kind! Oh, right, and one more thing, if it’s okay?”
“Sure, what is it?”
“Well, Mom and Dad told me… you know how you told them about Seito-senpai not having parents, or anyone to rely on?”
“Yeah, I guess I did.”
“It’s about that. They told me to tell you that if something ever happens where you need to rely on an adult, it’s okay to talk to them!! Apparently, when my mom talked to Saki’s mom, she asked about you and now trusts you even more!!!”
Kana said this looking incredibly happy.
I see. Harumi and Natsumi are close, after all…
Still, “talk to them”… Hearing that made me feel a little happy.
Not just because it meant they trusted me, but mostly because I’d hardly ever heard anyone say that to me in my past life either.
“That makes me really happy… Well then, if I ever need to, I might just take you up on that.”
“Yes!!!”
“So, about tomorrow… what’s the plan again?”
“Tomorrow, like I said, is the study session at Saki-nee’s house!!”
Today was July 9th. The final exams were in two weeks.
We’d just had midterms two months ago, but so much had happened in those two months that it really felt like it had flown by.
To prepare for those exams, I’d been invited to start studying a bit early.
“Saki;s house, huh…”
“Is that a problem? My place and Miku-nee’s place weren’t convenient, so we settled on Saki-nee’s house… Also, Saki-nee’s mom will be there.”
It wasn’t exactly a problem, but well, I’ve talked to Saki’s parents before, so it should be fine.
“Nah, if Hiiragi says it’s okay for me to go, then it’s fine.”
“Then Saki-nee’s place is good!! Um, and just to confirm, if we ever wanted to have a study session at Seito-senpai’s place, what would you think about that?”
“If it’s at my place, you’re welcome to come anytime. Heck, if you guys need a place for a study session, even if I’m not there, you can totally use my place.”
Of course, that’s only if it’s just the three of you: Kana, Miku, and Saki.
I trust those three. They wouldn’t do anything weird.
“Of course, with Seito-senpai included, it’ll be four of us!! But anyway, thank you so much! Next time, let’s do it at Seito-senpai’s place too!!”
“If it’s my place, it’s fine if you guys make noise. That might actually be better.”
“Seito-senpai!! Even I wouldn’t make a racket that bothers anyone during a study session!!”
“Nobody said anything about Kana, did they?”
“No way Miku-nee or Saki-nee would make a racket, no matter how you look at it!!”
“Haha, it’s a joke, don’t get mad.”
“I’m not mad at all, you know!”
After chatting for a while longer, we ended the call.
