I, Who Was Reincarnated as an Evil Character With Cheat-Level Stats in an Eroge, Will Live Freely in This Life
“Alright, I’m here.”
I had promised to meet at Saki’s place for a study session today, so I arrived at her house at 1 PM.
From our messages, it seemed Kana and Miku were already there.
Well, we’d only agreed on “afternoon”—no specific time was set.
This was my first time coming to Saki’s house since that time… Thinking that, I pressed the doorbell.
(Ping-pong)
Almost immediately, the door opened, and Harumi-san appeared.
“Ah, hello Harumi-san.”
“Hello, Seito-kun. I heard about you. Come on in, come on in. Kana-chan and Miku-chan are already here too.”
Harumi-san welcomed me with a big smile.
She’s always been like that since I first met her—such a kind person.
Saki’s the same way. They really do feel like mother and daughter. Saki smiles more now that she’s gained confidence, even more so.
“Got it. Well then, I’ll be intruding.”
—And so I was invited inside.
“Speaking of which, I hear you’re incredibly smart, Seito-kun. I heard you even beat Miku-chan?”
“Well, yes. I do beat Suzukaze on tests, but it’s not that big a difference. Besides, Saki-san ranks high too, right?”
I’m first, Miku is second. It’s definitely high, but Saki is tenth, which is still pretty high.
Besides, the high school I attend is pretty competitive to begin with.
As for Kana… well, that’s still up in the air.
“Fufu, I see. Well then, study hard. If you can, please teach the others too.”
“Of course. I’ll definitely try to help them as much as I can. Since you went to the trouble of inviting me.”
“Thank you, Seito-kun.”
After giving me a plastic bottle of tea, she guided me to Saki’s room.
“Well, this is it. Take your time inside.”
“Yes. Thank you.”
As soon as Harumi-san left after saying that, Saki’s door opened.
“Ah! I thought I heard a voice… it really is Seito-senpai!!”
“Studying hard?”
“I am trying… but please come in!”
And so, I entered Saki’s room.
The room felt exactly like what I imagined a girl’s room would be.
It was quite similar to Kana’s room, maybe? Plus, there were quite a few Himekawa Ruruka goods, even some non-sellable items, which made me a little envious.
There wasn’t a PC, so she probably had a separate room for streaming.
Honestly, it was a bit intriguing, but I came here to study today, so I’d better forget about it for now.
“Are you two working hard?”
“Of course we are!”
“I’m working hard too.”
“As for Miku-nee, she’s desperately trying to beat you, Seito-senpai.”
“Kana! Don’t say unnecessary things!!”
“Hehe. Okay.”
Kana said it with a hint of teasing, while Miku replied looking a bit embarrassed.
Miku was competitive, so it made sense she’d feel that way.
She’d been so frustrated after the last test, after all. Well, I’m no slacker myself, so I have no intention of slacking off either.
“Alright then, let’s study.”
“Yeah.”
“Okay.”
“Mm.”
And so, the study session began.
“What are you guys studying?”
“I’m doing English.”
“Me too, but it’s tough, huh…”
“I’m doing math. Honestly, I’d rather not touch English… though I am better than before.”
She really struggled with English during the last test too.
She’d gotten somewhat better at the other subjects, but English was a different story.
I think she barely scraped by? Well, English isn’t the kind of subject you master overnight.
“Kana’s not good at English, after all.”
“Yeah, that’s true… I’ve been getting help from Seito-senpai and Miku-nee too, but still…”
“Well, Suzukaze and I will help you today too, so let’s do our best. The final exams cover twelve subjects now, after all.”
“Right. If you don’t understand something, I’ll teach you.”
“Yes… Thank you. I’ll probably end up bothering you guys a lot.”
“Don’t worry about that.”
I said that while stroking Kana’s head, who was sitting next to me.
Well, Kana has huge potential, and if someone like me teaches her, she’ll improve rapidly, so it’ll be fine.
It was the same during the midterms; if Kana has the motivation, she can totally handle it.
For Kana’s future, I want to put in the effort there too.
“So, Suzukaze and Hiiragi, do you have any subjects you struggle with?”
“I’m the same as Kana-chan… English, I guess… It’s just really hard.”
“How did you score on the last test?”
“If it was the midterms, I think… around 70 points?”
70 points is above average, so it’s not that bad. But since Saki was ranked 10th last time, maybe it’s a bit low if she wants to aim higher?
“I see… Well, if you have any parts you don’t understand, I’ll help you out too. Not just English, of course.”
“Thanks, Kisaragi-kun.”
“Next is Suzukaze. How about you?”
“I don’t really have any subjects I’m bad at.”
“Come to think of it, you got almost perfect on the midterm.”
Come to think of it, she got 790 out of 800 on the midterm.
Getting that high means you can say you don’t have any weak subjects.
Besides, Miku is the type who stubbornly tries to master anything she can’t do, so it’s only natural she doesn’t have any weak subjects.
She goes to cram school too and works incredibly hard.
“It’s frustrating to hear ‘almost perfect’ from someone who actually got perfect…”
“Um, sorry about that.”
I hadn’t meant it that way at all, but after saying it, I realized it could definitely come off as a bit sarcastic.
“No need to apologize… I’m working hard to get a perfect score this time too.”
“This time too”? Does that mean she thinks I can get a perfect score again?
Even though I have a good memory, I do study properly, so I do intend to. But I’m sure Miku can do it too.
“You can definitely do it, Suzukaze.”
“But if there’s anything I don’t understand, would you teach me?”
“Of course. Since we’re studying together anyway, feel free to ask me anything.”
“Thank you…”
“Alright, let’s get started then.”
“Let’s do it!”
And so, the study session officially began.
