I, Who Was Reincarnated as an Evil Character With Cheat-Level Stats in an Eroge, Will Live Freely in This Life
โSo that’s how the answer works out, huh?โ
โReally?! Thank you so much, Seito-senpai!!โ
Quite a bit of time had already passed since the study session began.
To be honest, I’d basically been teaching the whole time, but I’d still managed to get some of my own studying done.
Well, when I say โteaching the whole time,โ it was mainly just Kana, though.
Since her last test, Kana seems to be studying properly at school too, so teaching her is easier than last time.
That said, her fundamentals are still a bit weak, and she struggles with application, so I still feel like there’s a lot to teach her.
Also, like I thought last time, she absorbs what I teach her really quickly. That part is truly amazing.
โYou’re really amazing. This is my first time studying with Kisaragi-kun, but you’re such a great teacher. It was super easy to understand.โ
Compared to Kana, I haven’t taught Saki nearly as much, but I have tutored her a few times.
Saki has such solid fundamentals that she gets it on the first try, making teaching her incredibly easy. It really shows she studies diligently all the time.
โI don’t know if I’m a good teacher thoughโฆโ
โYou’re really good at it, though?โ
โYeah. Listening in from beside you, I thought your explanations were incredibly clear. You seem to grasp the key points better than I do, explaining them simply and conciselyโฆ Honestly, it’s frustrating, but you’re really something.โ
Miku, who’d been listening to our conversation beside us, said this with a slightly bitter tone.
I wasn’t really aware of that myself, but if even Miku said so, it must be true.
Hearing that made me feel a little pleased.
โI see. But Suzukaze was teaching really clearly too, right?โ
โWell, I’m used to it.โ
Miku said that, but this was actually the first time I’d seen her teaching Kana and Saki, and she really was clear.
Miku said I was betterโฆ
“From my perspective, you’re both equally good. I’ve always felt that way about you, Miku-chan, but today, both of you have really helped me out.”
โYeah, you’re both super amazing!โ
โWell, yeah, there’s really no point in comparing who’s better. But doesn’t Suzukaze have any parts she doesn’t understand?โ
I hadn’t taught Miku anything new in the last few hours.
โHmmโฆ not exactly, but is it okay if I ask?โ
โOf course.โ
As soon as I said that and moved next to Miku, Saki seemed to get a message. Seeing it, she said,
โGuys, sorry about this. Looks like Mom forgot her wallet and went shopping anyway, so I’m going to bring it to her.โ
โShopping? That supermarket over there?โ
“Yeah, I think so. Mom’s pretty scatterbrained, so stuff like this happens sometimes. Miku and Kana probably know what I mean.”
โI seeโฆโ
โYeah. So I’ll be stepping out for a bit, but you guys can keep going.โ
โAh! Then I’ll come with you, Saki! Our drinks are almost gone anyway, so it’s perfect timing!โ
It was trueโthe drinks we’d each brought were nearly finished.
“If that’s the case, I could handle it alone? Mom’s here too, after all.”
โNah. It’ll be a nice break from studying, so I figured it’d be perfectโฆโ
โfufufu, I knew it. But that’ll leave just the two of you at home. Are you guys okay with that?โ
โWe’re fine, Saki-nee! Besides, it looks like he’s about to tutor Miku-nee now. Let’s go before we interrupt!!โ
Saki was nudged by Kana and left the room.
โKana, you’ll never change that impulsive part of youโฆโ
โWell, isn’t that also one of Kana’s good points?โ
โI suppose so.โ
โAnyway, what part don’t you understand?โ
โUm, it’s math I’m doing now, but it’s this part here.โ
โI see. This part is indeed pretty tricky. Let’s seeโฆโ
Then I explained that section.
โWow, you really get itโฆ Thanks a lot.โ
โDid you understand?โ
โYeah. I totally got it. Normally, I’d ask the teacher about stuff I don’t understand, but asking someone in my own grade is way easier and nicer.โ
โYeah, that makes sense. It’s totally different how relaxed you feel asking a teacher versus a classmate. From now on, you can ask me instead of the teacher.โ
โYou’re rightโฆ With you, Kisaragi, I feel like I could understand anything.โ
โYou seem pretty confident about that.โ
I said it with confidence.
โI appreciate it, but it still stingsโฆ or at least that’s what I think. But honestly, if it’s against Kisaragi, I don’t even mind losing.โ
โWhy’s that?โ
โThat’s exactly what I want to know.โ
โSuzukaze?โ
โIs something wrong?โ
โIf it’s okay with you, Suzukaze, can I call you by your first name from now on?โ
I’d wanted to say this for a while now, whether it was to Miku or Saki.
With Kana, she pretty much always took the initiative, so this time I wanted to make the first move.
Calling each other by our first names was that first step.
โf-first name?โ
โYeah. It’s fine if you call me Seito too, if that’s okay?โ
โโฆIt’s not that I don’t want toโฆโ
Miku said this in a small voice, her face flushed.
โI see. Well then, starting today, I won’t call you Suzukaze anymore. I’ll call you Miku.โ
When I said this, smiling at Miku’s face, she buried her face in the desk.
โWhat’s wrong, Miku?โ
โN-nothingโฆ Just give me a momentโฆโ
โAlright.โ
As I said that, I noticed her ears were bright red.
โโA few minutes later, Miku lifted her face.
Her cheeks and ears were still slightly red, but she seemed much calmer than before.
โAre you okay now?โ
โWhat do you mean โcalm downโโฆ I wasn’t panicking or anything.โ
โHahaha, right. More importantly, Miku, you’ll call me by my name too, right?โ
I said it with a hint of teasing.
โI-I knowโฆ S-Seito is fine, right?โ
โFine is fine? You don’t want to call me by my name?โ
โO-of course not thatโฆ But please wait until tomorrow to call me that in front of Kana and Sakiโฆ I’m still a littleโฆ wellโฆโ
Miku, who I thought had calmed down earlier, was blushing again.
Wondering if I’d teased her a bit too much, I said.
โAlright then, I’ll start calling you that in front of them tomorrow.โ
โTh-thank you, that’d be a big helpโฆโ
โGot it, Miku.โ
โโฆThere! Now get back to studying, Seito!!โ
Miku said this, her face still flushed, then turned toward her textbooks and started moving her mechanical pencil.
โHaha, yeah, you’re right.โ
A little over ten minutes later, Kana and Saki came back.
