I’m Tired of My Childhood Friend Playing Pranks on Me, so I Want to Date a Female Friend Who Loves Me Sincerely
“Hello, Ayato-kun. I came to invite you to lunch.”
Rika walked toward me with an expressionless face and said that.
She didn’t seem to care about the noise around us, just staring at me. It seemed like nothing but me was reflected in her eyes.
“Rika, I’m sorry, but I’m supposed to have lunch with Nagiri san today.”
It might not be a bad idea to have lunch with Rika, my childhood friend, for the first time in a while. But it’s only been a day since yesterday.
Having lunch with my ex-girlfriend, whom I broke up with less than a day ago, is too much for me. I don’t think anyone but someone with nerves of steel could do that.
“Who is Nagiri?”
“This person.”
I introduced Nagiri-san, who had somehow ended up standing next to me.
“We’ve been getting along well since we became second-year students. I don’t have many friends, you see.”
Back in middle school, I was always with Rika, so the boys used to look down on me.
Last year, I made two friends, one boy and one girl, but they ended up in different classes.
I still exchange messages with the girl frequently. She often asks me for advice about love. I’ve never heard her say she has a boyfriend, though.
“You…”
Rika made a bitter expression. She finally noticed Nagiri.
She looked very uncomfortable. What did Nagiri show Rika?
“Ayato kun is my boyfriend. Stay away!”
“You broke up, right? Ayato’s heart has already grown cold. A relationship ends when one person’s heart has moved on.”
“That’s not true. If either of us still has feelings, it will definitely work out again!”
“Hey, you two.”
Suddenly, the two started arguing loudly, and the class atmosphere became tense. No one was speaking, and everyone seemed to be trembling, avoiding eye contact.
“What’s wrong, Ayato? We’re in the middle of an important conversation.”
“Let’s go to the rooftop. I feel bad for the class.”
Nagiri looked around the class and suddenly realized something, her expression changing.
“Yeah, we should stop here.”
When they got to the rooftop, the two seemed to calm down and stopped arguing.
They just glared at each other, and it didn’t look like the anger between them was going to subside anytime soon.
“Anyway, Rika, how about tonight? You can come over to my place tonight.”
“Really?”
“Yeah.”
Honestly, I’d rather she didn’t come, but I don’t think staying here will solve anything.
Besides, even if I don’t deal with her, I can just leave it to my sister.
“So, I’m thinking of having lunch with Nagiri san during the break, okay?”
“I understand. But you know what will happen if you break your promise, right?”
