Mob Character Reincarnation Loner: As a Result of Supporting the Heroine Who Had Been Rejected, I Ended up Being the Recipient of Her Heavy Emotions…

“Um, this is sudden, but… I’d like to decide on a class president for this class right now.”

After all the lessons were finished during homeroom, the teacher suddenly announced this.

A collective “Eh~?” echoed through the classroom.

“Well, I completely forgot about it… So, we need one boy and one girl. Anyone who thinks they’re up for it~?”

Not a single person raised their hand in response to the teacher’s call.

Well, “class president” sounds nice, but in reality, it’s basically a chore coordinator. It’s a parade of tedious tasks: running events like the sports festival and cultural festival, preparing for and cleaning up after classes.

“…By the way, no one’s going home today until we decide on a class president.”

Even then, not a single student raised their hand.

“…Alright. I expected that reaction. So! I’ve prepared a lottery! Boys draw from the white box, girls from the red box. Whoever draws the ‘winner’ ticket is happily appointed class president!”

Sighs of “Ehh~” could be heard, but given the class atmosphere, it felt like everyone just accepted it.

Probably because it was better than just wasting time without deciding.

Well, considering the number of boys in the class, the odds of drawing the ‘winner’ were low.

The drawing started from the students at the edges. The class looked unusually serious.

Everyone looked relieved the moment they drew a ‘loser’.

Well, it was only natural for those involved in club activities, as it would make them even busier and cut into their club time.

Just one. Who would be the class’s sacrificial lamb…

‘Winner’

It was me.

“Oh, that reaction. Irie-kun, you’re the ‘winner’, right?”

“No, I’m not the winner.”

“Stop the futile resistance?”

The ‘winner’ ticket was confiscated, and ‘Irie Bungaku’ was written on the blackboard.

“Huh, Bun-kun. You drew the ‘winner’ ticket, huh?”

Staring at the blackboard in despair, Nanase and the others suddenly appeared.

“…Unlucky guy.”

Tsukimi-san, who had safely drawn a losing ticket, looked over at me with a sympathetic expression.

“……………….”

For some reason, Serizawa-san stared intently at my name written on the blackboard. Her expression was serious.

“I’m going all out… I’ll definitely draw the ‘winner’.”

“Huh? Well, if Serizawa-san’s doing it with me, that’s reassuring though.”

“Leave it to me.”

She casually gave a thumbs-up with her right hand and went to draw the lottery ticket.

I’d never seen Serizawa-san this full of determination before.

“Oh, Serizawa got a ‘loser’ ticket.”

“…Teacher. One more time.”

“No, there are only enough tickets for everyone.”

“Please, just this once.”

“No way.”

Serizawa-san slumped her shoulders and walked back over to me.

“…Damn it. Guess I’ll just have to get someone to give me a ‘winning’ ticket.”

I don’t think it’s worth that much trouble though…

“Ah, Sensei! I got a ‘winning’ ticket~!”

Nanase raised her hand, showing the winning ticket to the teacher. At that moment, the boys started murmuring.

Apparently, Nanase had drawn the ‘winning’ ticket.

“Huh? This circle…”

“Teacher. This is a winner, right?”

“Eh? Ah, ah. Yeah. That’s right.”

For some reason, the teacher used polite language, and Nanase nodded contentedly.

‘Nanase Hiyori’ was written next to my name.

“So then~ Nice to meet you, Bun-kun!”

Nanase bumps shoulders with me, looking rather pleased. The boys watch this exchange with envious eyes.

Well, for the boys, this result is definitely a ‘win’.

“Hey, Irie. You don’t want to be class president, right? Should I switch with you?”

Suzuki-kun, who seemed happiest about drawing the losing ticket, came running over to me.

“…Huh? Ah, um—”

“Now, now, Suzuki-kun. Stop saying weird things to my partner, okay?”

Nanase cut in before I could answer, saying it with a smile.

“The lottery results are final, so Bun kun’s partner is me, and my partner is Bun kun. Right? Bun kun?”

“Huh? Ah, yes. That’s right.”

Suzuki-kun and I flinched under the pressure Nanase radiated. Seeing this, the boys seemed to resign themselves to the situation.

“…I absolutely won’t give him up.”

“Nanase-san? Sorry, I couldn’t hear you well—your voice was too quiet.”

“…It’s nothing.”

“Class President, we’ve got work to do right away!”

Assigned the task of carrying documents, we headed to the staff room. Just as I was about to leave the classroom carrying the stack of papers, the teacher called out to me.

“Hey, Irie.”

“Yes?”

“Are you and Nanase dating?”

“…Huh? What’s this all of a sudden?”

“Well, look… this.”

The teacher showed me three lottery tickets marked “Winner” with circles drawn on them.

“Huh? Why are there three…? Wait… this winner…”

Looking closely, only one had “Winner” written in ballpoint pen. The other two had circles drawn in marker.

“Actually, this ballpoint pen ‘Winner’ ticket was given to me by Nanase—”

“Bun-kun? Let’s hurry up and go!”

“Ah, sorry. I’m coming.”

This time, Nanase called out to me, and I hurried over to her.

“Bun-kun? What’s wrong?”

“…Nothing. It’s nothing.”

No way right?…..
