The S**ttiest Gyaru in the Class Confessed to Me
Since then, I’ve been communicating with Sayaka frequently.
That said, we usually talk in a group chat with three people, and when it’s just the two of us, I don’t bring up topics that Ikka would dislike. Sayaka also seems to be choosing her words carefully.
Her declaration at the grave must have been sincere.
I think that’s amazing.
If I were in her shoes, I probably couldn’t do the same.
Right now, I’m relying on Sayaka, but I’ll just keep it simple for now. I respect her decision, and I think this is fine for now.
That’s me, but tomorrow I have remedial classes.
I passed the retake exam, but those with poor grades have to attend remedial classes.
Lately, it’s become a habit to talk to Ichika before bed. So, tonight I was talking to Ichika in bed again.
“Starting tomorrow, I have to go to remedial classes. chika, make sure you don’t be late.”
“I won’t ! But I’m happy that I’ll be in the same class as Sou kun.”
“I’m happy that I’ll get to see Ichika in her school uniform.”
“Do you like school uniforms?”
“No, but… The uniforms of current high school girls are the best !”
“Hmm. Next time I go to Sou kun’s house…should I wear my uniform?♡”
“I’ll refrain because it might become a habit. Oh, by the way, Sayaka said she wants to go on a trip with the three of us.”
Ichika seemed to hesitate for a moment.
“Hmm. It’s okay if we have separate rooms, right?”
“No, if the three of us go and each stay in separate rooms, it’ll look suspicious. Since there are two girls, Ichika and Sayaka can share a room.”
“That’s not acceptable ! !”
“You’re right. But then again, I can’t share a room with Ichika. Well, there’s also the budget issue, so let’s decide on the trip when Sayaka is around.”
“Got it ! I’d like to go on an overseas trip someday. By the way, have you ever thought about studying abroad, Sou kun?”
“I’m not good at English, so no. But why?”
“Hm, no reason. Just wondering.”
There’s something implied in that statement.
“But Ichika can’t speak English at all either. We need to improve our English, or we’ll never be able to study abroad, so relax”
“You’re so annoying ! ! I’m just not trying hard enough ! !”
Well, if she really tried hard, it would be a problem for me. Ichika would become a distant presence.
The conversation paused for a moment.
Then Ichika continued talking.
“By the way, hasn’t Shinkawa chan been acting weird lately?”
Shinkawa chan is Shinkawa Nagisa, our homeroom teacher.
By the way, he teaches classical Japanese and Chinese literature.
Yes, despite his beautiful-sounding name, he is a regular male teacher.
“Yeah, you’re right. He doesn’t seem very energetic.”
Shinkawa sensei seems a little timid, but he cares about his students and is kind. I liked him quite a bit.
“Yeah, I think so too. How many years has Shinkawa chan been teaching?”
“I don’t know, but I think he’s one of the younger teachers at this school.”
“You know, I saw Shinkawa sensei being confronted by a parent the other day…that kind of thing isn’t exactly pleasant. Well, I’m going to bed soon. Good night♡”
(Teachers have it tough, don’t they?)
I’ve seen it on the news.
Teaching is apparently a pretty tough job.
They work overtime every day and often come to school on their days off. Yet they get harassed by stupid parents, and it really doesn’t seem worth it.
Wait, we’re the ones causing the extra burden with the supplementary lessons.
Sensei, I’m sorry ! !
The next morning, when I entered the supplementary lesson classroom, Ichika was already there.
“Good morning. Hey, is it just us?”
“I don’t know. But a lot of students struggle with classical Japanese, right?”
“Yeah, that’s true.”
This is the case at any school, but many high school students struggle with classical Japanese and Chinese. So there’s no way there would only be two students in the supplementary class.
Could it be a boycott?
I’ve heard that some students dislike Shinkawa sensei. They call him an otaku or say he’s perverted.
Then the door opened, and another student entered.
(It’s Kitamura san. I’m glad we have one more participant.)
Kitamura san is a girl with black hair and black eyes. She seems to come from a good family, and I heard she’s actually a lady. Her first name is Miyabi, I think. Miyabi means “elegant” which suits Kitamura san well.
(She’s so cute after all.)
She must have noticed me staring at her, because she puffed out her cheeks like a balloon.
Things are going to get complicated after class.
As Kitamura san passed by me, she closed one eye.
…A wink?
Kitamura san and I have hardly ever interacted,
so it felt a little strange.
Then she passed by Ichika as well.
“Tch.”
Huh? Was that a tongue click?
…Maybe I heard it wrong.
A girl like her wouldn’t do that, would she?
Still, it’s surprising that a serious girl like Kitamura san would need extra lessons. I think her mother is a university professor, and Kitamura san herself is one of the top students…
Before I knew it, class had started five minutes late.
“Sensei is late. That’s unusual…”
The door opened.
It was Shinkawa sensei.
The teacher entered with a smile and looked around at us.
Then, for a moment, he froze, and his expression twisted.
There was a moment of silence.
Then he grabbed his head.
“Uwaaaaah !”
The teacher’s strange cry made my heart stop.
The teacher pulled his hair so hard it looked like it was going to come out, messed it up, and kicked the trash can next to the lectern.
Then, shouting something else, he stormed out of the classroom.
“Gwaaah !”
The strange sound echoed down the hallway.
The classroom was empty without the teacher.
I and Ichika exchanged glances.
Ichika spoke up.
“Sou kun. Isn’t that dangerous?”
