The S**ttiest Gyaru in the Class Confessed to Me

When I arrived at the designated location, a luxury-looking sedan was parked there.

As I approached, the window opened.

It was Ichika.

Behind Ichika was Ichika’s father, who greeted me.

“Sou kun. Have you eaten yet? Would you like to join us?”

When we arrived, it was a restaurant near Ikka’s house. As soon as Ikka’s father sat down, he ordered a beer.

“Sou kun, order whatever you like.”

Ichika’s father…Katase san gave Ichika a glance. Then Ichika stood up.

“Well, I’m going home now. If my dad causes any trouble, please let me know. I’ll bring my mom with me.”

(Don’t leave me behind…)

I pleaded with Ichika with my eyes, but she didn’t notice.

I ordered oolong tea and joined Katase san in a toast.

Then, immediately…silence fell.

It was awkward.

Katase san seemed bored as well, so he ordered another beer.

“…So, Sou kun. I have something I want to ask you.”

Here it comes.

Katase san continued.

“Do you like Ichika?”

“Yes.”

“What do you like about her?”

What about her?

When asked directly, it’s not something that comes to mind immediately.

“Her cute side, her kind side, her positive side…”

I also like her big breasts, but maybe I shouldn’t say that.

“Hmm, you’re not very articulate, are you? Well, she’s my pride and joy, so I guess it’s all natural.”

…This space is uncomfortable.

When we’re face to face like this, even though they’re both parents, I feel like Katase san is harder to deal with than Yotsuba san. I wonder why.

After that, Katase san asked me all sorts of questions about my family and my future. I’m sure he was trying to figure out if I was worthy of taking care of his daughter.

It’s only natural for a father to worry about that.

But, well.

To be honest, I feel like it’s a bit much to ask a high school student like me…

If he’s going to ask, I wish he’d wait until I graduate from college, when I’ll have a clearer idea of what I want to do.

After that, Katase san talked about various things. Before I knew it, there was sake in front of Katase san.

“You know, Sou kun. I have some advice for your future self. If you ever feel like, ‘Why doesn’t Ichika understand me ! !’, remember that it’s because you don’t understand Ichika.”

“Yes.”

It’s a common story.

In other words, if a problem arises, it’s my fault for not understanding Ichika.

Ichika, you’re loved by Katase san.

That makes me happy.

But I can’t really imagine Ichika and I fighting.

Katase san continued.

“You might think I’m stating the obvious, right?”

You hit the nail on the head…

“No, that’s not what I…..”

It seems he saw right through me.

Katase san took another sip of sake and continued.

“But you know, as people spend more time together, they tend to forget those obvious things. Confucius said, ‘Do not worry about others not knowing you, but worry about not knowing others.’ It’s the same idea as what we’re talking about now, isn’t it?”

“You’re right.”

“Those are the words of someone from over 2,500 years ago, right? Yet we still hold them in such high regard. That means human nature hasn’t changed, and we tend to forget. So I want you to remember that too, Sou kun.”

“I’ll remember.”

Katase san scratched his head.

“Sorry for the lecture. You see, I don’t have a son. I wanted to talk about this kind of thing to my son in a condescending way.”

Wait, Katase san.

Did you just call me your son?

“No, I wouldn’t say that…. I’ll keep that in mind.”

“Parents die before their children. Even if I annoy them with my lectures and they hate me, I want to leave them various things so they won’t be in trouble in the future.”

Katase san looked me in the eye.

“One more thing from me.”

“Yes.”

What will he say?

I’m scared.

“Sou kun. Break up with Ichika.”
