The Top 3 Beauties in My School Are All My Subordinates at My Part-time Job~ You Guys Are Out of My League, So Stop Relying on a Mediocre Guy

“Oh, I saw that anime too !”

“Really? You know it too, Miya chan? Is it interesting?”

“Yes, Rin chan. It was really interesting !”

Kyono san saw “Cafe Moe” too. I feel very close to her.

“What kind of story is it?”

“The story takes place in a café, and the manager is the main character. The girl who works there is the heroine, and they work together to build a successful restaurant.”

“Hmm…….I’ve heard that story somewhere.”

Hamakaze san, please don’t make such comments in front of Maeno.

“The main protagonist, who yearns to create an ideal café, is really cool. He cares for the heroine very much and overcomes many difficulties.”

“I see.  A manager like that would certainly be cool !”

I was so surprised when Hamakaze san glanced at me sideways and said such a thing that I felt as if she were talking about me.

No, this is just a “cafe moe” story.

I am a man who knows his place, and I would never misunderstand.

“I guess so. People who devote themselves to something are wonderful.”

Kyono san glanced at me and said something like that, which made me feel as if she were talking about me.

Please don’t look at me while talking about the anime store manager, it’s bad for my heart.

“You two. And above all, the heroine is really cute. The cafe uniform is cute, hmm, it makes me excited.”

Maeno interrupted the conversation between the two beautiful women.

His eyes turned to the maids on the café staff as he made that remark.

It’s kind of creepy in real life. That’s enough of that.

“You saw that anime too, didn’t you, Akizuki san? How did you like it?”

“Hmm. I’d like to hear what you think of it too, Akizuki kun.”

Four eyes of the two beauties turned to me.

Why are you talking to me, the manager of a cafe?

No, they’re not talking about the manager, but about an anime set in a café.

In any case, I’m worried that Maeno will get suspicious.

“They’re right, Akizuki shi. I want to hear it too.”

I don’t have the courage to interrupt the flow of the conversation. I guess I’ll just give my opinion.

“Hmm. The heroine is of course very cute, but I think the manager is really cool in that he’s clumsy, but he’s burning with ideals and won’t give up. And I like that when the heroine is in trouble, he helps her even though he’s clumsy, even at the cost of himself, and he’s a good-natured idiot.”

“Yes, that’s right ! He is a very kind and dependable manager, and I love him too.”

Kyono san, don’t look at me with those dreamy eyes and say things like that.

I can’t stop my heart from pounding as if I were the one being told that.

“What a great manager. I think he’s also cool !”

I really don’t want Hamakaze san to say something like that with her sparkling eyes.

I know they both were talking about anime, but the boundary with reality is blurred and it’s very embarrassing.

Then we sipped our drinks for a while, and the time passed quickly as the four of us talked about “Cafe Moe” and other topics.

We left the store without extending our time, as we were on an hourly basis.

“That was fun !”

“Yes, it was fun.”

“The maids are amazing, aren’t they? They have a great desire to entertain customers.”

“You’re right. I have to learn from them.”

It was good that they both enjoyed themselves.

I should learn from the female staff’s attitude of trying to entertain customers.

“It was fun, thanks ! Bye !”

“Thank you very much. See you later.”

The two girls said they were going home after some more shopping and parted in front of the maid cafe.

Maeno and I walked to the nearest station.

“Hey, Akizuki shi.”

“Hm?”

“Perhaps we have become a little closer today with Hamakaze san and Kyono san.”

“Nn……well, I guess. At least a little bit.”

“You think so?”

“What’s wrong?”

“Well, we’re kind of amazing. We went to a cafe with the top three beauties, who are so far above us, and we’ve become quite close.”

Maeno narrows his eyes behind his glasses, clearly savoring the joy.

The top three beauties are so special to the otaku boys…..or even to the boys in our school.

“Well……I guess so.”

“Thank you, Akizuki shi.”

“Why are you thanking me? I didn’t do anything.”

“No, I feel like they came to the cafe with me because of you.”

“Why did you think that? You know that’s not true.”

“I don’t know why, but I can tell from their attitude and conversations that they feel a certain affinity toward Akizuki shi.”

Maeno is rather perceptive.

“So it was thanks to you that the girls came with me and were friendly to me. It was a lot of fun. Thank you.”

“Oh, no……you’re welcome.”

This is the first time I’ve had this much conversation with Maeno, but he’s a nice guy.

“Thank you, Maeno.”

“Why is Akizuki shi thanking me?”

“No, just because.”

“I see. Then I’ll say something back to you too. You’re welcome.”

I was happy to feel like I was getting to know Maeno.

“By the way, Hamakaze san and Kyono san, don’t they have a liking for Akizuki shi, let alone familiarity with him?”

“No, no, no, what are you talking about?”

Don’t say things that are completely unfounded.

“No, it’s just a feeling.”

“Don’t ever say that anywhere else. If the girls or the good-looking ABCs hear about it, they will be very angry.”

“Hmm…well, that’s certainly true. Understood.”

Seriously, don’t ever make such a crazy statement anywhere else. Please, Maeno.

“See you at school tomorrow.”

“Yeah. Thank you, Akizuki shi.”

This town has a terminal station, served by JR, subway, and private railways.

Maeno took the subway and I took the JR, so we parted ways and headed for our respective stations.

*

“Shoot……”

When we arrived at the JR station, there was a sign saying that trains were not running due to a personal injury accident.

It was no use. I decided to walk home.

My house is one stop away from here on the JR line. It would take me about 20 minutes to get home on foot.

It would be better for my mental health than waiting for a train that I don’t know when it will be back.

With that in mind, I retraced my steps back the way I had just come and walked out of the station building.

“Hm, Akizukicchi !? What’s wrong? Are you alone?”

“Did Maeno san leave already?”

When I turned around at the sound of a voice from the side, I found Hamakaze san and Kyono san standing there with surprised looks on their faces.
