The Top 3 Beauties in My School Are All My Subordinates at My Part-time Job~ You Guys Are Out of My League, So Stop Relying on a Mediocre Guy

“Okay. Then Yuuhi, explain to the ladies about the shop.”

“Me?”

“Of course. Who else is there but you?”

“There’s you.”

You think I’m going to teach these out-of-reach girls how to do their jobs?

It’s too much.

“You’re in charge of the hall. And it’s convenient that you’re all friends from the same class.”

“No, I’m saying we don’t really know each other well enough to be friends.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes, that’s right. We’re in the same class, but we’ve hardly ever been involved, so I wouldn’t call them friends.”

For the girls who is popular with everyone, I’m simply in the same classroom with them. In that sense, I’m not much different from a blackboard eraser.

“I see what you mean. When I was in high school, I wasn’t good at talking to girls either, and I was like an air in class.”

My father looks at me with a distant gaze. What is he looking at?

It is true that my father was not good at communicating with strangers, and I was still better than him.

But I heard that he had been dating my mother, who was so popular that she was called the [idol of the school] since high school, so that’s different from me.

“Hey hey Akizuki kun ! Who says we’re not friends?”

I was whispering with my father when she suddenly tapped me on the shoulder from behind.

When I turned around, I saw a pair of double eyelids and wide eyes right in front of me.

Hamakaze san was leaning forward, her face close to mine as if peering into my eyes.

“Whoa !”

I jumped backward like a spring.

I was surprised.

“You don’t have to be so surprised.”

No, I’m surprised !

Why are you so close to me? Are you having a distance problem?

I’ve never seen a girl’s face so close before in my life. I’m nervous.

“O-obviously. I-I can’t call you a friend, can I? I mean, it’s true that we hardly ever interact.”

I bit my tongue. That’s uncool.

“But we’re in the same class, so we’re friends, right?”

“Y-you think so?”

I don’t think it’s that easy for me.

She is indeed a strong communicator.

Her definition of “friend” seems to be broad.

“Besides, we’ll be working together every week from now on.”

“That’s true, but.”

“Oh yeah. In here, Akizuki kun is the manager, and we are employees. We’re more like a boss and a subordinate than friends, right? Wow, you’re just like a member of society, so cool.”

Hamakaze san is known as an innocent girl, and she is very carefree.

This kind of positive attitude is probably what makes her so cute and popular.

“No, we are classmates, so there’s no need to be so formal about boss and subordinate. We’re in the same position.”

“Oh, I see. You’re right. So we’re buddies !”

“Oh…..yeah. I guess so.”

I don’t have the mental toughness to treat a high class girl as a subordinate.

If it was a coworker on an equal footing, I think I could still tolerate it.

She is a better communicator than I am. I would only have to teach them a few things.

That’s what I thought, but after a few minutes, I realized that it wasn’t that simple.

***

The café waiter/waitress greets customers, takes their orders, and relays them to my father in the kitchen.

When the items are ready, they take them to the customer’s table. When the customer leaves, they handle the bill at the cash register.

Basically, it is a simple job.

I gave the three of them training on how to use the cash register for accounting, where the equipment is located, what is on the menu, and how to take orders.

Incidentally, some of our menu items have embarrassing names named by my mother.

For example, they are as follows.

Bittersweet Youth Coffee (Strong Blend Coffee)

Pasta of our memories (meat spaghetti)

Yuuya’s best gateau chocolat.

Yuuya’s favorite strawberry shortcake.

As a son, I was embarrassed because they are such a silly couple. But my mother’s love for my father is overflowing. And the words on the menu are handwritten by my mother.

That’s why I didn’t want to change the name that my late mother had given it.

Customers sometimes make fun of it, but I just say, [It’s funny]] and they just laughed and agreed.

But then.

“Wow, that’s an interesting name !”

“Well, yeah.”

It is indeed embarrassing to have girls from my classmates point this out to me. If there was a hole, I’d want to get in it.

“Hmmm……”

Looking at the menu name, Kamigasaki san seems to be somewhat displeased. I guess she thinks I’m joking.

However, I’m not sure if my explanation will convince her, so I’ll skip this part.

*

It was now 11:00 p.m. It was finally time to open the shop.

The three of them stood in a row by the wall, waiting for customers to come in.

Hamakaze san was smiling happily.

Cool beauty Kamigasaki san has a blank expression on her face, perhaps because she is nervous, or perhaps it is her usual coolness.

The calm and reserved Kyono san is a little nervous, perhaps lacking in confidence.

Still—it was a spectacular sight to see three of our school’s most beautiful women standing side by side in their maid uniforms.

If I were to take a picture of them and post it on social media, I’m sure it would create a sensation and be flooded with comments like ‘cute’ and ‘beautiful’.

Of course, I wouldn’t post a picture of their real faces on the Internet so easily.

To help them get used to the job, I have them serve each customer one by one as they arrive.

There is a saying, ‘Better get used to it than learn it’.

The shortest way to improve is to practice.

That is why I decided to do it that way.

“I-I guess serving customers is difficult, isn’t it? …I wonder if I can do it properly.”

Kyono san looked anxious.

It’s true that serving customers is difficult. I’m still learning through trial and error.

“Don’t worry too much. Serving customers is easy and simple !”

“Y…you think so?”

Hamakaze san is making a V sign with both hands.

That’s a lot of confidence to have in yourself.

It must be easy for a strong communicator.

At that moment, the automatic door opened and a middle-aged man entered the store.

The die is cast. Finally, the memorable first customer service for those girls is about to begin.
