The Top 3 Beauties in My School Are All My Subordinates at My Part-time Job~ You Guys Are Out of My League, So Stop Relying on a Mediocre Guy

Hamakaze san accidentally called me by a strange nickname.

But the handsome boys nearby didn’t seem to hear it.

Thank goodness……it’s kind of relieving.

Adachi spoke with a puzzled look on his face.

He is a basketball player who is good friends with Hamakaze.

“Huh? When did you become friends with Akizuki, Rinrin?

“Hm? What are you talking about?”

“‘Cause you called him [Akizukicchi] earlier. You didn’t call him that before, did you?”

My heart skipped a beat.

I was casually walking past them when I stopped in my tracks.

“Nope. I called him Akizuki kun.”

Hamakaze san’s eyes were swimming. It’s too obvious. She’s so bad at hiding it.

But here I have no choice but to pray that Adachi will believe her.

“You’re lying.”

“I’m not. Adachi kun, you must’ve misheard me.”

“I wonder…..”

Adachi looked at me with a suspicious look on his face. Even with that look on his face, he’s still a good-looking guy.

Well, it doesn’t look like he’ll be convinced that easily.

Could it be that, with this progression, it will become clear that Hamakaze is working part-time at my cafe? That would be bad.

—-Just then. I heard a voice of salvation, like an angel.

“Rinrin clearly said Akizuki kun. Adachi must’ve misheard.”

Yeah, it wasn’t an angel. It was the cool voice of my natural enemy.

“Is that right?”

“That’s right.”

Thanks to Kamigasaki’s reminder, Adachi seemed to have lost interest in me.

He turned his gaze back to everyone in the group again.

I sat down in my seat, relieved.

But still, it was too unexpected.

Kamigasaki, who is supposed to be my enemy, went out of her way to help me.

“By the way, Rinrin. You said you wanted a part-time job, didn’t you?”

“Buhuhu….!”

“W-what’s wrong, Akizuki !?”

I overreacted because of the word ‘part-time’ that Adachi suddenly mentioned.

Adachi looked at me in surprise. He must have found me suspicious. This is bad.

“I-it’s nothing.”

“I-I see.”

Adachi turned to his friends again.

“So Rinrin. My parents know someone who runs a convenience store. He is looking for part-time workers. I’m thinking of doing it, too, but would you like to join me?”

“Adachi, you have club activities, right?”

“They said it’s okay if I work only on weekends. Except during games.”

“I see. Hmm……”

Hamakaze put her hand on her chin and groaned.

If Adachi, who she’s rumored to be dating, asked her out, she’d definitely go for it.

If that’s the case, I guess she’ll have to quit my Sunday-only job at the café.

“I’ll pass.”

“Eh, why?”

—-Eh, why?

I found myself in harmony with Adachi in my heart.

“I thought that working at a convenience store might not be right for me.”

“Rinrin is cheerful, so working in customer service is perfect for you.”

“Yeah, I think a customer service part-time job would be perfect. But at convenience stores, you have to wear a Santa costume at Christmas. That’s just not my thing…”

“Rinrin, what are you on about?”

–Hamakaze san, what are you talking about?

I once again found myself in harmony with Adachi in my mind.

I might be on the same page with Adachi.

“That’s only once a year, so if you don’t want to do it, just say no. I’m sure no one will force you to do it.”

“R-right. What am I talking about, hahaha.”

At that moment, the morning chime rang.

The homeroom teacher immediately entered the classroom.

“Okay, homeroom is about to start. Take your seats !”

The homeroom teacher is a woman in her mid-twenties, though her languid appearance is full of veteranism.

Hamano Karin, 26 years old. Her hobby is visiting cafes. She calls herself a sweets geek.

“Then, Rinrin, think about getting another part-time job, will ya?”

“Oh, yeah. Got it.”

“How about Miyabi and Suzuka? Would you like to work together?”

“Well, I’m……”

“Thanks. I’ll think about it.”

After such an exchange, the beautiful women and handsome men scattered to their seats.

But, well, you know what?

I guess in the end, Hamakaze san will quit our cafe and go to work at the convenience store with Adachi.

Kamigasaki seems to be dissatisfied with me, too, and is likely to go along with him.

If that happens, there is a possibility that Kyono san, who originally wanted to work at our café, will go there as a friend.

“Hey Akizukishi.”

Maeno kun, sitting in front of me, turned around and spoke to me.

Why are you calling me that? Are you going for the otaku stereotype of a decade ago?

“What?”

“You’re amazing.”

“What about?”

T”o be called by one of the top three beauties, the idol Hamakaze sab. I’m so jealous. You and I are both mediocre boys. Why is that?”

It’s like we’ve become friends without even knowing it.

“Beats me. It’s just because our eyes happened to meet.”

“I see. I’m still jealous of you. I want to punch you.”

“Stop it.”

“I was joking.”

Maeno said and turned toward the podium again.

Stop making horrible jokes with a straight face.

If Maeno finds out that I’m working part-time with these girls dressed as waitresses, he’s going to beat me up for real.

I have to keep this secret. Secrets, strictly, absolutely.

* * *

After the first period, I went out of the classroom into the hallway to go to the bathroom. Rhythmic footsteps approached from behind me.

It was Hamakaze san who walked alongside me and called out.

“I’m sorry about earlier〜”

She seemed to be referring to the nickname incident.

“Don’t worry. If you could be careful about carelessness from now on.”

I said this  while also being mindful of her work at the cafe.

In other words, I meant that she should be careful not to be careless at work.

“Yes, I’m sorry.”

Hamakaze san bowed her head with a sullen look on her face.

Her blonde hair swayed.

I didn’t mean to make her so depressed.

Hamakaze seems like she’s very strong when she takes hits, but is she actually quite weak?

“No…I mean, don’t worry about it that much. More importantly, thank you for taking the time to come and apologize.”

“Yeah ! I look forward to working with you again, manager !”

She was depressed just a few minutes ago, and now this? She bounces back so quickly.

But I’m grateful for that because it means I don’t have to worry too much.

But still, she didn’t mention that she was quitting her part-time job at my place.

Maybe she was too shy to tell me.

Well, she would have told me sooner or later, so I didn’t want to say anything.

—-That’s what I thought.
