When I Go Back in Time, My Ex-wife Is Making a Passionate Approach to Me, and I’m Having Trouble With It
Haruka comes back to the club room. When she sees me and Kyoka, she lets out a sigh.
Kyoka is working on the plot as I told her. She’s concentrating on it for a while, so we can leave it alone.
“Hey, Ryo. Pay attention to me too.”
“No, Haruka. I’m not paying attention to Kyouka or anything.”
“I know. I know, but it just makes me feel uneasy.”
Haruka must be feeling very uneasy. If she really loved me, the arrival of a love rival would have made her very worried.
In the past, it would have been unthinkable that Haruka would be in such a mental state. But now, she has this distressed look on her face.
“I’m sorry. What did you want me to do?”
“Spoil me”
“Spoil with what?”
“Spoil me.”
“Look, we’re all here.”
“I want you to spoil me in front of them.”
It was an outrageous request. Haruka must have been under a lot of stress. But I couldn’t just accept the demand.
“For now, I’m going to go sit next to Haruka.”
I slid out of my chair and sat down next to Haruka. Haruka stiffened for a moment, then let out a small breath and smiled.
“Will you teach me your novel, too?”
“I’d rather learn from you.”
“Kazanashi-san is not the only one who wants to learn from you.”
“Well then, I’ll teach you how to write novels.”
To be honest, Haruka would probably just laugh at me if I told her this, but I’m going to give her a lecture on what I feel is missing from her novels.
“Love your work. Love the characters. Love everything.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Haruka only thinks about developing the story according to the plot. That’s why the novel is so tasteless. I think the novel would be more interesting if you could express more emotion and write more vivid characters.”
“That’s an eye-opener.”
Haruka looked at me impressed.
“I thought your advice would be useless, but it wasn’t.”
“Haruka told me to teach you, didn’t she?”
“That’s true, too.”
Haruka chuckled and put her hand over her mouth.
“Well, I’m going to write a little something with that in mind.”
Haruka then turned to her computer. Despite her insistence that I spoil her, Haruka loves to write novels. In the end, she concentrated on it in no time at all. Having no further use for it, I returned to my seat and began to write.
I worked on it for about an hour. The school bell rings, and we look up.
“Thank you for your hard work. Well, that’s enough for today.”
Tachibana called out, and we shut down the computer. Tachibana was always in charge of closing the door, and we quickly left the school.
“Ryo, let’s go home.”
Kyoka pulled my sleeve and urged me to go home.
“I’m going home with you.”
Haruka lined up next to me so that she would not be late.
“I’ve suddenly come full circle and started to see you as cute, Kurosaki-san.”
“What’s with that condescending attitude?”
“The way she bites is so cute, like a puppy. She’s desperately trying to intimidate you.”
“Why are you so relaxed?”
“Hnnn. Ryo and I have a secret in common.”
I told Haruka about the time leap. But whether Haruka believes it or not is another matter. Normally, she would not believe such an outlandish story. However, Haruka has complete trust in what I say. She probably believes it.
“Even I have a secret between me and Ryo.”
“Hmmm. What’s that?”
“I wouldn’t tell you.”
There is no secret between me and Haruka at this time. It is probably Haruka’s bluff. Kyoka is a little too relaxed, as if she can see through Haruka’s cute resistance.
We leave the school and walk home. The two girls are standing next to me on either side of me, and from the side I can see that I have two flowers in my hands. The jealous stares of the boys on the street pierce my back.
“I’m here. See you later, Ryo.”
We reach Haruka’s house, and she waves her hand in a regretful manner. I lifted my hand in response and walked away with Kyoka. I looked back and saw Haruka’s sad expression on her face.
“We’re finally alone, Ryo.”
“Hey, don’t get attached to me.”
“I’m showing Kurosaki-san off”
“You have a bad character.”
“It’s easy to show your true character, isn’t it?”
“That’s true.”
In fact, it’s easy to interact with Kyouka when she is being herself. I can also be at ease with her. On the other hand, I have to be careful with Haruka because she is the Haruka of the past. I sometimes get annoyed at the fact that I’m the only one who knows Haruka. Haruka likes me, and because of that, I’m aware of even the parts of her that I don’t like. I’m the only one who knows Haruka. From Haruka’s perspective, that’s unfair.
Maybe that’s the one thing I can’t get into with Haruka. Kyoka’s presence is very comfortable for me. I never get tired of being with her. I know this because I got married once, but once you get married, you see each other every day. We will see each other every day, and over trivial matters, we will stop talking to each other, and our relationship will become strained. The more years go by, the more our love for each other grows cold. Kyoka does not need to worry about this. I can only envision a successful future if we marry as friends.
In my mind, I was leaning toward Kyoka at the moment.
Although it is embarrassing to tell her that
“Don’t be too hard on Haruka. She’s only 16 years old.”
“Fufu, You haven’t changed your insensitivity. I feel relieved.”
Kyoka chuckled and went into her own house.
