When I Go Back in Time, My Ex-wife Is Making a Passionate Approach to Me, and I’m Having Trouble With It

I leave class preparations and move to the Literature Club room.

“Senpai, the club journal is ready.”

Tachibana smiles and points to a stack of books on the desk.

“Can I take a look at it?”

“Go ahead.”

I said to Tachibana and picked up the club magazine. When I opened it, Haruka’s novel was listed first.

“After all, I thought it would be better to start with a novel written by someone who is very good at what he or she does. I chose Kurosaki-senpai.”

Tachibana is right, the beginning of a book is important. Suppose a customer comes and asks to see some of your work. If such a customer comes in and asks to see a bit of the book, the first part of the novel will probably be the first thing he/she reads. When I actually looked through the book, I found that it was written in Haruka’s typical style.

“Oh, so this is the club magazine. It’s surprisingly thin.”

Kyoka picked up a copy of the club magazine and flipped through it. It was thin, but that was to be expected.
Although Haruka and I had joined the club, there were only three members who participated in the club magazine. Even though each of us wrote two novels, the number of pages would be small.

“So this is Kurosaki-san’s novel.”

Kyoka read Haruka’s novel silently in front of Haruka. She looked up and gave a small nod.

“Yes, it’s interesting.”

“What, you’re praising me? I thought you were going to criticize me.”

“Why? If something is interesting, it’s interesting. There’s no point in lying.”

“Because you don’t like me.”

“You know exactly what I mean. I hate you. But your works are innocent.”

Kyoka said in a brisk manner. Kyoka had never been exposed to novels before. So when she said that the novel she read for the first time was interesting, it must have been really interesting. Kyoka is the type of person who would dismiss it out of hand if it was not interesting.

Haruka blushed a little and muttered a small “thank you”.

“So, Ryo, how about you?”

“Yeah, I think it’s interesting as usual.”

“As usual, huh?”

Haruka lets out a sigh.

“I guess it didn’t resonate with you again.”

That’s not true. I think your novels are interesting enough. The writing is easy to read and there are no mistakes in the expressions. However, what I felt from Tachibana’s novels was an overwhelming amount of passion. The heat that oozes from the text. I can’t feel that from Haruka’s novels. The novel I advised her on the other day probably hasn’t been written yet, so this was written before I gave her advice. That is not to say that Haruka’s novels are not interesting.

“Our goal is to sell out the club magazine. I hear that the literature club’s magazine is always popular, so let’s do our best to sell it out.”

Tachibana said, and drew a frame on the whiteboard with a magic marker.

“So, I’d like to set up the reception shifts, but do you all have free time due to class performances?”

Haruka and I are in the same class and we share the same shifts, so we’ll be free at the same time.

“Can I have a moment? I promised to go around the school festival with Ryo. So I’d be happy if you could make some time for us to go around together.”

“What’s that? What a cunning idea. Ryo, please go around with me too.”

“I’m sorry. Haruka has a prior engagement this time. So you’ll have to wait till next time.”

“That line is a womanizer’s comment.”

Certainly, what I just said was wrong. Haruka was looking at me with a blank look

I have not had a lot of experience being popular in my life. The only time I was popular was when I was in high school and Kyoka told me she was in love with me. But now I am being approached by two girls, 1 who have come back to my past. I have often wondered what the protagonists of popular novels are worried about, but this one bothers me. I don’t want to hurt anyone or get hurt if possible. I do care about the person I dumped. That was true for Kyoka in high school.

That’s why I need to seriously worry and give an answer so that I don’t regret it. Even if it takes time.

“Well, I think I’ll hold back this time. I’ll aim for another chance.”

Kyoka backed down maturely. Kyoka never does anything to annoy me. Nothing has changed since high school. The only thing that annoys me is her approach to me, but she never goes too deep into it. That’s why I can go out with her with peace of mind. That kind of trust is outstanding.

“Then, after listening to the class shifts, I decided to leave the morning to Kurosaki-senpai and Shinohara-senpai.”

“Can the two of you be the receptionists?”

“I’m fine with that. The afternoon will be taken care of by me and Kazanashi senpai”

That would be helpful. I’d have time to go around the cultural festival with Haruka. Our class has an hour shift in the afternoon. If I go around with Haruka after that, we’ll have plenty of time.

“Speaking of which, what does Kyoka’s class do?”

“Maid cafes. Isn’t that the standard? That’s right.
Come on, you two. If you come when I’m around, I’ll give you service.”

“Kyoka in a maid costume? That’s something I’d like to see.”

“I bet you’re thinking of something dirty right now, aren’t you?”

Haruka gives me a sharp look.

“No, I’m not.”

“Lies. You’re thinking of something else.”

Haruka is perceptive. When we were married, she was quick to butt in when I was distracted by another woman’s gaze. It is a man’s sad nature to be distracted by women. Forgive me.

“Well then, let’s go about our shift like that. Let’s make the cultural festival a success for the literature club too.”

Tachibana holds out her hand. Kyouka and Haruka place their hands on it, and then I place my hand on top of hers.

“Literature club, fight!”

The Literature club was united by raising their hands high in the air.
