When I Go Back in Time, My Ex-wife Is Making a Passionate Approach to Me, and I’m Having Trouble With It

After leaving. Saegusa’s house, Tachibana and I decided to go into a nearby coffee shop. Tachibana spent quite a bit of time taking Saegusa’s advice. Advice from an actual professional novelist would be tremendously beneficial.

When we entered the coffee shop and were shown to our seats, Tachibana and I sat down facing each other.

“How was it, senpai?”

“I learned a lot.”

It was a very valuable experience to be able to listen to a professional novelist in person. For me, too, it was a valuable experience, and I feel that it has broadened my vision in my quest to become a professional novelist.

“It was a good thing that I invited you.”

“Thank you for inviting me.”

“Why do you like my novel so much?”

“I was attracted to it when I read it for the first time. I thought she was going to be a great novelist.”

I’m the type of person who usually reads novels. I am a regular reader of novels, so I have been exposed to a lot of different types of writing. That is why my encounter with Tachibana was such a shock.

“I had never met anyone who was so enthusiastic about my novels, so I wondered why.”

“As Saegusa san said, I think it is the subject matter of the stories.”

Tachibana’s novels unfold with a unique worldview. I also like the fact that she does not aim to be popular with readers.

“I respect Tachibana because I tend to easily aim for the readers’ acceptance.”

“I just write what I want to write.”

“That’s what makes it so great. If people don’t read it, it usually doesn’t last.”

The situation of having no one read your novel is more painful than you can imagine. No matter how much you post, if you get no response, you will ask yourself what on earth you are writing for. I have seen many online novelists lose motivation and stop updating their works.

“I write novels that I want to read.”

“Do you read them yourself when you finish them?”

“Yes, I do. I like my own novels the best, so I read them over and over again.”

Tachibana must really like her own works. Her confidence is reflected in her writing.

“There is something new I am going to try next time.”

“A challenge?”

“Yes. I want to write a love story.”

“A romance novel?”

I also write romantic comedies, so it’s a romance novel. It’s probably a different genre from the romance novels Tachibana is talking about, but I might be able to give some advice.

“But I have no experience in love. I’m worried whether I can still write about it.”

“Well, it is true that you can write better if you have experience.”

“You said you had experience, didn’t you?”

I have both glittering memories and bitter memories. Love is difficult. It often doesn’t work out just because you have strong feelings.

“I’d like to ask you to help me with an interview.”

“the interview?”

“Yes. I’d like to try dating and study the distance between men and women in real life.”

“If it’s okay with you, I’ll help you.”

“Really?”

I am a fan of Tachibana. I’ll cooperate with Tachibana in any way that will help her novels.

“But is it okay? I feel bad for Kurosaki senpai and Kazanashi senpai.”

“We’re not dating or anything so you don’t need to worry about it. For that matter, Tachibana and I went out together today too.”

“I’m sure that’s true too.”

Tachibana smiles, holding the mug in her hands.

“Senpai, you seem to be used to going out with girls alone.”

“Well, to a certain extent.”

“I’ve never gone out with a guy before. You are the first.”

“That’s surprising.”

If you are as cute as Tachibana, you might attract a guy.

“I’m a novelist, so I don’t have many friends in my class.”

“Are there any girls who like novels?”

“I don’t have any. I’m not a good communicator, so I don’t talk to many people.”

“You don’t look like that to me.”

“Senpai came to the Literature Club. They were interested in novels, so I was able to talk to them.”

If we had not gone back in time, Tachibana would have been running the literature club all by herself.

If I could have changed the past, I would have been glad that I time leaped.

“I was so happy that you joined the club that I had to show you some unsightly things at the training camp.”

Tachibana’s cheeks turned red. I remembered the naked Tachibana I saw at the camp.

“Senpai, you remember now, don’t you? You are very perverted.”

“I’m sorry. It’s just that you have such a beautiful body.”

“You are a womanizer, aren’t you, senpai?

I don’t mean to. But I remember Haruka saying something similar to me. I know my indecisiveness is causing trouble for the two of them, but I can’t change my personality.

“But at that time, senpai was very kind and dependable.”

“I’m embarrassed to hear you say that.”

I feel like I became good friends with Tachibana at that training camp. Even though she’s a junior, she always takes her novels seriously, and I’m fascinated by her high level of awareness. When she critiques my novels, she points out the flaws because she’s serious about it. That attitude is worthy of respect.

“I’m Tachibana’s senior, but I consider you a friend, so please keep in touch with me.”

“Senpai, you really are a womanizer.”

Tachibana smiled broadly and took a sip from his mug.
