When I Saved a Lost Plushie, I Got Close to a Young Lady From a Yakuza Family

I’m so nervous that Emi is going to come to my house now.

I’ve cleaned up the house, so I think it’ll be fine.

“Ei”

A soft touch on my right arm.

“What are you doing?!”

“Are you embarrassed? You’re so pure and innocent, aren’t you, So-chan?”

Suddenly, Emi linked arms with me in the street.

she was grinning towards me with a mischievous smile.

It would be annoying to back out now.

“I’m not embarrassed.”

“Then let’s keep going.”

And as we started to walk out of the station’s ticket gate.

“Hiiii!”

On a holiday, an inappropriate scream was heard at the station, so when I turned around to see what was going on, I saw a man with a pale face.

Had he seen something terrible?

But there was nothing around me.

“What is it?”

“I don’t know.”

We left the station with our heads tilted back.

The only way to get home from the station was to go back the way we came, but Emi was going off the road.

“Hey, hey, where are you headed?”

“It would be boring if we just went right away, so let’s take a detour.”

And then she brought me to the cafe where I had come with Uruwashi before.

“This is …….”

“Why are you surprised? Oh, you don’t come to fashionable places like this because you’re a hermit, right? You should go out.”

She was saying whatever she wanted to say.

In the past, it wasn’t like this, I thought, scratching my head.

“I wanted to come here because I looked it up on social media and everyone said it would look great. It’s such an honor to be here with such a pretty girl, isn’t it?”

“I came here the other day.”

Emi’s face tightened at my words.

“Huh? I don’t believe it. Stop lying to act tough, okay?”

“I’m not trying to be stubborn.”

I took out my phone and showed her the picture that Uruwashi had taken of me and Banira-chan at the cafe.

“Emi is so sad.”

I was so agitated, but my momentum stalled.

Phew, Emi seems stunned that I’m in a fashionable cafe like this.

“You went out of your way to make it look like someone else took the photo just to show how successful you are… Setting the timer by yourself must have been hard work.”

“No, it wasn’t!”

“Oh my,” Sakuma exaggerated as she tried to cry.

Why should I feel sorry for Emi?

“I had this person take the photos for me.”

I continued to show Emi a picture of Uruwashi and Banira-chan at the cafe.

“Nn! This silver-haired beauty is really a beauty!?”

Emi took my phone and was glued to Uruwashi’s good looks.

It seems that reacting to beautiful women has nothing to do with gender.

“I wonder who she is. There aren’t many influencers that Emi doesn’t know.
With this bijou, she’s sure to have over 10,000 followers. ……”

I know Uruwashi’s face is overwhelmingly strong, but that’s not what I want you to see in this picture.

“Look here. You see the same plushie in the picture?”

Emi’s eyes lost their temperature as I pointed to Banira-chan, and she gave me a cold stare.

“Aa…… you shouldn’t even buy a plushie to make up a cover, you look like a stalker.”

Right? I am shocked but also worried.

I told her it was not that!

Although that might be more likely than me ever going to a cafe with such a beautiful woman!

Finally, I showed her a picture of us at a cherry blossom viewing party the other day.

This is a two-shot, so you know it’s not a cover-up.

“Do you understand? You have to use the money you receive wisely.”

Emi was revealing her anger. You’re busy changing your emotions all the time.

But still, why are we talking about sending money?

“She’s a rental girlfriend, right?”

“No!”

I explained to Emi that we were friends or fellow plushie students, but she didn’t believe me at all.

Emi did not listen to me and was satisfied with her acai bowl.

After some trouble, we finally got home.

“I’m here!”

“Emi, put your shoes in order.”

“I know. You’re so picky.”

Since she is usually very selfish, it’s only natural that I would nag her like this.

“Hmm, it looks like you keep your house nice and clean. By the way, you still love stuffed toys, Sou-chan.”

Emi looked around my house as if to check.

“There were no wrinkles on your clothes either. you can live alone just fine.”

“I guess so.”

“Then, I’ll check to see if there’s anything shady in the house.”

Emi declared this and began to look under the bed and ransack the shelves.

But I don’t panic and just watch from the sidelines.

You’re being naive, these days it’s not about things but data.

“Ah!”

Emi shouts loudly, and my body reacts with a jerk.

What, did she find something strange ……?

“This apron is so cute!”

Emi found a rabbit apron that Uruwashi had left behind earlier.

“You’re cooking really well too. That’s great.”

Emi didn’t seem to feel any differently about having a bunny apron in my house.

I guess it’s not strange that I like stuffed animals, so I have these cute things in my house.

“I guess it won’t be a problem to report this to mother.”

I was relieved to hear her say that.

Emi sometimes comes to check on me to see if I’m living alone, and if I’m not living a self-indulgent life on behalf of my mother.

I don’t cook, but I don’t want to tell her because it would put me at a disadvantage.

Disadvantages include a decrease in remittances or being forced to work harder at my studies.

I was given various conditions for leaving my hometown and living on my own.

They were all about attitude, grades, etc.

“Well, I have to tell that you are spending money on a rental girlfriend,”

“I told you that’s not true!”

Without listening to my denial, she started putting on an apron.

Even though I said, “That’s Uruwashi san’s,” she thought it was my apron and said, “Don’t be so persistent,” and put it on as if it was nothing to do with me.

“Okay. Today, Emi will cook for Sou-chan, who always has a hard time living alone.”

“Emi can cook?”

I remember it being devastating.

“Heyy, I learned it during the cooking class the other day.”

Emi said, put oil in the pan.

Maybe that’s why we stopped by the supermarket on the way home from the cafe and bought a few things.

“You don’t eat fried food that much when you live alone, do you? I had fried chicken today.”

It’s true that I don’t deep fry food because of the oil disposal and other reasons.

It’s been a while since I’ve had freshly fried food at home.

I guess you have a kinder side to you than I thought.

Besides, I’ve been reviewing how well you can cook.

As I wait in my room, I smell something burning and smoke coming from the kitchen.

“Kyaa!”

“Hey, what’s going on? Is there a fire?!”

“I thought it should be hot, so I put it on high heat. ……”

I went to the kitchen and found a pot with a pillar of fire and Emi sitting on her butt in front of it.

I was the first to turn off the stove, but the pot didn’t seem to go out.

Next, I opened the window first to let the smoke escape.

“Emi, didn’t you learn that in cooking class?!”

“Actually, Emi, everyone convinced me to do nothing but wash dishes. ……”

I thought it would be something like that!

Damn, it’s my fault for entrusting you with cooking that requires fire!

“Uh, uh, …… I thought we were supposed to call 110 in a situation like this. ……”

“Fire trucks call 119!”

Emi seems to be very upset.

“Is it …… water to put out the fire?”

No, I seem to have heard that if you pour water on it, oil will splash all over the place and it will be dangerous.

What should I do then?

As I hesitated, I heard a loud bang on the door.

Who could it be at a time like this?!

“Sagara-kun, open up!”

I hear Uruwashi-san’s voice, and I open the door on reflex.

As soon as Uruwashi-san enters my house and checks the situation, she goes to the sink and returns with several wet and wrung-out towels.

She threw them over the pot and covered it completely.

When she did so, the pillar of fire was quenched.

Uruwashi immediately said, “Wait a little longer for the oil to cool down,” and we nodded our heads and watched.

“That should do it.”

“Phew, I’m glad. Thank you, Ten-chan.”

“Cool, cool ……!”

Uruwashi’s words brought me relief, and Emi was touched for some reason.

“Sagara kun and that girl over there, can I have a word with you?”

My relief was short-lived.

Uruwashi’s slanted eyes shot at me.

It was as if we were birds of prey.

At that moment, I realized that Uruwashi had quietly lost her temper.

The fire crisis was over and my life was saved, but another crisis was coming.

Will my life really be safe? ……
