――Then it was Monday.

Saki had apparently told Kana and Miku about the incident, and they had both sent me messages thanking me.

Then Harumi and Saki talked with her father and contacted the police, but as expected, without evidence, there was nothing they could do.

Apparently, Saki was given various explanations about how to handle the situation, but I guess it doesn’t really mean much?

After all, nothing has changed.

However, since she has already reported the incident, if any evidence comes up in the future, things might go smoothly then. I don’t think it’s completely meaningless.

Then, Saki decided not to go to cram school for the time being.

Well, that’s the current situation regarding this matter…

“Why are Kana and Suzukaze here too?”

On Monday after school, I thought it would be better not to draw too much attention to myself, so I planned to leave the school gate first and then follow Saki at a visible distance, but in the end, the four of us were walking together.

“Because we’re worried too!”

“Right? Besides, it’s safer with four of us, isn’t it?”

“I guess that’s true…”

Well, what they’re saying is correct, but we’re really standing out.

I mean, all three of them are so good-looking that passersby are looking at us.

Huh? Actually, maybe it’s better to stand out outside of school?

At school, a lot of people know me and Saki, so I thought we might stand out in a bad way, but outside, that’s not the case.

Maybe this is safer.

“Thank you, everyone.”

“It’s okay. Besides, with senpai here, there’s nothing to be afraid of.”

“Kana, that might be a bit of an exaggeration, but of course I’ll definitely protect Hiiragi.”

“U, uh, thank you…”

“That’s typical of senpai.”

“Exactly…”

When I said that, Hiiragi blushed, and Kana smiled for some reason.

Miku had an expression that was hard to read.

“What’s wrong with the three of you?”

“Nothing. I just thought senpai was really cool.”

“Well, that’s fine then.”

“But more importantly, we can’t allow anyone to stalk Saki!”

“That’s right. Besides, Saki doesn’t seem to have any idea who it is, so it’s quite a hassle. The police seem to have decided that it’s not strong enough to take action.”

“That’s right. Well, the police had already predicted this, so there’s no point in complaining about it now, but it’s really a hassle. It doesn’t seem like the stalker is following her now.”

“Yeah. According to Saki, it seems like they were targeting times when we weren’t around, so there’s a possibility they were watching the area near the school.”

“That’s definitely possible.”

That possibility is indeed high.

I don’t know how much data they’ve taken from the PC, but there’s a chance they know about the school too.

“That’s true… I felt like I was being watched on my way home from school.”

“Then we have to keep that possibility in mind.”

“Yeah.”

After walking for a while, Kana said,

“I’m really glad that Kazuki-senpai was there.”

“That’s for sure.”

“I’m really grateful too.”

“I wish my brother-in-law was as reliable as senpai…”

Kana muttered discontentedly.

“That’s difficult. Right now, Tsubasa says he wants to go home with his friends after school to play the new game. He even failed a test because of it… He hasn’t changed since he was a kid.”

Miku said with a slightly exasperated tone.

“That’s right. When he gets home, he plays games all the time, and he even screams while talking on the phone. He probably hasn’t even noticed Saki nee’s unusual behavior. I wish he would pay a little more attention to his surroundings.”

Kana seemed to have a lot she wanted to say to Nanashima, and she was saying things like that. As the two of them said, it seemed that Nanashima was currently obsessed with playing new games with his friends, and he was always playing games at home. I had also seen him talking about it at school.

Well, if he’s failing his classes, then he’s overdoing it, but there were plenty of students who were obsessed with games in my past life too. I’m not trying to defend Nanashima or anything.

“Tsubasa-kun is fine. It’s partly my fault for not consulting with him. Besides, as a result, Kisaragi-kun is here now.”

Saki said that with a smile, contrary to the two of them.

“Huh? Saki-nee preferred Seito-senpai over onii san!?”

Kana might have asked that out of simple curiosity, but it wasn’t something she should have asked in front of me… Besides, I don’t think she meant it in the sense of which one was better or anything like that. Thinking that, I remained silent.

“Um… I don’t know. But I definitely think Kisaragi-kun is more reliable than Tsubasa-kun…”

Saki said this with a shy expression, so I don’t think she was lying. Well, Saki isn’t the type to lie anyway.

I don’t know when she came to that conclusion, but I’m happy that she thinks that way.

“That’s right! I’m glad it’s Seito-senpai too!”

“Why are you so happy, Kana?”

Miku asked Kana, who was saying this with great joy, a very reasonable question.

“Of course I’m happy when my Seito-senpai is praised by Saki nee! I love all three of you, including Miku nee!”

“Yeah. It’s so typical of Kana.”

“Haha, yeah.”

Even in this situation, Kana’s presence brightened the mood, and as a result, Saki was smiling too.

I realized once again that this was much better than going home with just the two of us.

Well, anyway…

“Kana. It’s fine, but don’t say too much. It’s kind of embarrassing for me.”

“Huh? You have embarrassing things too, Kisaragi kun…”

Huh? Are you serious?

Well, of course I do. I’m human too.

But maybe Miku is just trying to liven up the atmosphere by making jokes… Yeah, probably.

“Of course there are…”

“That’s right, Miku, senpai has a cute side too! But I’m not going to tell you two about it!”

“I don’t really want to know…”

Listening to them, I felt a bit complicated, but I was glad that Saki seemed to be doing well.

And Kana, even if there is something, I’d rather you didn’t

Still, this is almost the first time I’ve seen the three of them together so close, having a proper conversation, but they really are good friends.

I thought about that as I walked along, keeping an eye on my surroundings.

◇

After seeing the three of them home, I went back to my house and rested.

In the end, I didn’t feel anything unusual about today.

I don’t know if it’s because we were there or because they don’t come every day, but in any case, we’ve decided to continue going home together like this.

Saki also said that he wasn’t there last week when Kana and Miku were there.

Just then, my smartphone notification sounded.

Who could it be? I thought to myself as I picked up my phone.

“Kisaragi-kun. Thank you again for today. I might cause you trouble in the future, but please bear with me.”

It was Saki who sent that message.

“I’m the one who brought it up, so I don’t know how long it will take, but I’ll keep my promise until the end. I promised Harumi-san too.”

“Okay… Thank you, Kisaragi-kun. Good night. See you tomorrow.”

“Good night. See you tomorrow.”

It was a short conversation, but my exchange with Saki was over.
