It had been a week since I started dating Miku, and on that Saturday, I’d been called out by Kana and the other two, so I was at the designated spot.
“Seito-senpai!!! Sorry to keep you waiting!!!”
About five minutes after I started waiting.
I heard Kana’s voice like that, and when I looked over, Miku and Saki were waving and walking towards me.
“I just got here myself.”
“Really?! Hello! Seito-senpai!!!”
“Hello, Seito-kun.”
“Hello, Seito.”
“Hello, all three of you. You’re all looking incredibly cute today.”
“Ehehe! Thank you, Seito-senpai!!! We always put our best foot forward when meeting Seito-senpai, so we’re thrilled!!!”
“Ah, thank you…”
“Y-yeah…”
Kana said it happily, while Miku and Saki said it looking a little embarrassed.
Since they’d only just started dating, they probably weren’t used to hearing it yet.
It’s probably better when it’s just the two of them, but having other people around probably makes it embarrassing. Well, I’m the type who wants to properly convey what I think, so they’ll just have to get used to it.
Thinking that, I spoke up.
“So, what are we doing today? I haven’t heard the details yet.”
All I’d heard from Kana so far was, “We’re going shopping today, come with us!!”
After I immediately agreed, she just told me the time and place. Then she said she needed to talk to Miku and Saki, and that was the end of the conversation, so I didn’t know any specifics.
“Well, well, let’s just talk while we walk!!!”
“Right. That sounds good.”
“Yeah. Let’s do that.”
“That makes sense.”
And so the four of us started walking—
“Um, we were talking about what we’re doing today, right?”
“Yeah. All I heard was that we’re going shopping and she wanted me to come along.”
“Well, that’s exactly it. We promised to hang out a lot together this summer break, right?”
Starting next week, our high school’s summer break lasts roughly a month.
The promise to hang out together as four started with Kana even before I started dating Miku and Saki. But now that I’m dating both of them, it’s easier to hang out without worrying about each other’s feelings.
If I hadn’t been dating Miku and Saki, I might have worried about getting their way… or something like that.
“Yeah, I’m definitely planning on it too.”
“We three have been talking about it a lot, and one thing we really want to do is go to the beach! The beach!!!”
Kana said this, her excitement rising.
We had agreed to hang out, but we hadn’t made any concrete plans yet.
“The ocean, huh…”
“Yes! That’s right!! Miku-nee and Saki-nee said they wanted to go with all four of us too!!”
When Kana said that, I looked over at the other two. They seemed a little embarrassed but met my gaze and nodded.
Going to the beach with all four of us sounded really fun to me too. If Mikku and Saki were into it, there was no reason not to go.
Plus, I kinda wanted to see the three of them in swimsuits.
“The beach sounds great. It is summer, after all. We should definitely go.”
“Right!!! That’s why we’re going to buy swimsuits today!!! Well, not just that, but it’s the main event!!! We thought about keeping it a secret from Seito-senpai and surprising him on the day, but since it’s our first summer vacation together as a group of four, we wanted to spend everything together, starting with shopping, so we invited you!!! Plus, we really wanted to show Seito-kun the swimsuits we picked out right away!!! Right, Miku-nee, Saki-nee!!!”
Kana said this with a delighted smile, looking back and forth between Miku and Saki.

Miku and Saki said this, looking a little embarrassed.
“That’ll be fun.”
“Yes! You can definitely look forward to it!!! Miku-nee and Saki-nee have amazing figures!!!”
“Kana! You don’t need to say unnecessary things!!”
“That’s right, Kana-chan!!!”
“Hahaha, but it’s true, so what’s wrong with that!”
“Haha, you three really are close, aren’t you?”
Listening to their conversation, I thought that again.
It’s the kind of level that makes you wonder if you ever see bonds this strong?
“Of course it is! Miku-nee and Saki-nee love me so much!!”
“…Why are you saying that yourself… Well, I won’t deny that I like Kana and Saki…”
“Yeah. I love you too, Kana-chan. And Mikku-chan too, of course.”
“Ehehe. Same here!!!”
“Honestly, your relationship is great. Watching you makes me smile, or rather, it makes me happy too. Well, you’ve been together since before you met me, so I guess it’s natural.”
Seeing how close the three of them really are is healing for me too.
Maybe it’s partly because they’re my girlfriends, but honestly, seeing the three of them get along so well just naturally makes me happy too.
Just as I was thinking that, Kana spoke up.
“What are you talking about? From now on, it’s the four of us, including Seito-senpai, right? I mean, in my mind, you’re just as important as the other two already, okay?”
Then, following her, Miku and Saki chimed in.
“That’s right, Seito-kun. Kana-chan, Miku-chan, and I all take it for granted that you’re here now.”
“Exactly. Instead of just watching the three of us get along, why don’t you join us? I mean, you already are…”
What I meant wasn’t that I felt awkward fitting into their friendship… Maybe that last bit made it sound that way?
I just meant I was happy about the three girls being close… Well, no need to correct it.
Above all, I’m incredibly happy they feel that way about me. And like they said, from now on, it’s not just the three of them, but the four of us.
Thinking that, I answered with a smile.
“You’re right! Let’s make tons of great memories together this summer!”
“Yes!! Of course!!”
“Yeah, you’re right. I’m really looking forward to it.”
“Me too. I’m looking forward to it as well.”
“So then, besides the beach, is there anything else the three of you want to do?”
“Of course there’s lots!!”
“Like what?”
“Well… there are various things, but we definitely can’t miss the summer festival and the fireworks!!!”
I think I heard there’s a pretty big summer festival happening relatively close by…
“Is there a summer festival happening nearby?”
“Yes! So the four of us absolutely have to go!!! And then the four of us have to watch the fireworks together!!!”
“That sounds fun.”
“Yes! It’ll definitely be fun!!”
While Kana and I were talking like that, Mikku said.
“It sounds fun, but you can’t get too carried away like last year, okay?”
“Hehehe, it’s summer vacation, so why not? We’ll be there, after all.”
“Exactly, Miku-nee! In fact, Miku-nee should be the one getting more carried away!”
“I’d say that’s impossible… but honestly, maybe it’s okay to have a day like that once in a while.”
“Come to think of it, during last year’s festival, Miku was always watching out to make sure Kana didn’t wander off everywhere.”
“Was I?”
“Yeah. Last year the three of us went together, but Kana was running all over buying and eating different things.”

Saki said this with an amused look as she recalled it, and this time Mikku replied with a slightly exasperated tone.
“Yeah. And then she’d pass the food she couldn’t finish to us… We were hungry too, so it was fine by us, but this year, could you at least tell us before buying stuff?”
“Sorry about that! But festivals just get me so hyped up, I can’t calm down…”
“Well, it’s fine, isn’t it? Summer festivals only happen once a year or so. You should just enjoy yourselves as much as you can. That goes for you too, Miku and Saki. I’ll be there this year, so you only need to think about that.”
When I said that, Kana wrapped her arms around my arm and said.
“You’re the best, Seito-senpai!! Thank you so much! I love you!!!”
Seeing Kana like that, Miku said.
“I should say you shouldn’t spoil her… but I do rely on you. I’m looking forward to going with Seito, and I’ll enjoy myself too.”
“Hehe, let’s all have fun together, Seito-kun.”
After that, we walked while talking about things we wanted to do during summer vacation.
