Episode 6 – Knight, I think he was wise

A Virgin Civil Servant Is Reincarnated as a Trashy Character in a Otome Game, but Because He Doesnโ€™t Make a Move Despite Being in an Otome Game, the Girls Treat Him Like a High-Class Catch and Aggressively Pursue Him

โ€œAlright, let’s have a math class. Get ready quickly.โ€

There were no class events in otome games. After morning homeroom, it was immediately lunch break, wasn’t it? Please stick to that setting. I don’t remember high school math. Or rather, can I use my knowledge of Japanese math?

โ€œAlright, let’s start with vectors.โ€

Wait a minute, isn’t this too easy? Thanks, past me. I only took the university entrance exam, but it seems I had some knowledge after all.

Anyway, isn’t it fun to be able to study as much as you want? Studying is greatโ€”the more you do, the more it becomes your own strength. The materials I was making were all strictly reviewed even though no one ever looked at them, so I felt like it was a waste of time.

As I nostalgically looked at the textbook, Aile was doodling in her notebook. When I was in high school, I used to draw manga all the time. Whenever I found a little blank space, I’d start drawing. I was curious about what kind of drawing Aile was doing, so I peeked over.

I think it was a sketch of Cass’s arm from a few seats back. The veins were drawn in detail. She looked very happy.

I had been using the math textbook as a shield against the teacher, but it seemed to have been pierced, and I was called out by name. Well, teachers in any world have the ability to see through things.

โ€œAlright, here. Aile, can you answer this?โ€

She seemed unsure of what was being asked, and her eyes darted back and forth between the textbook she had been using as a shield and the teacher. Her face was turning the same color as her hair. The blood rushing to her face from anxiety. Her face was as red as mine when I said something weird in a meeting while half-asleep.

Well, there’s no helping it. I’ll give her a hand. She did give me the information that I’m unpopular, after all.

โ€œโ€ฆZero.โ€

She looked a little surprised and shouted my answer out loud.

โ€œZero!โ€

โ€œThat’s right. Next question!โ€

She confirmed that the teacher’s gaze had shifted away and passed me a piece of paper. It was a sticky note with a bear illustration, and it simply said, โ€œThank you.โ€

I wanted her to express more gratitude, but she was focused on erasing the illustration with an eraser, so I decided to let it go.

Cas was smart, wasn’t he? I remember there was a scene where he always ranked at the top of the test. There was an event called a study session. But they were just fooling around instead of studying.

The bell rang, signaling the end of the first class.

I could go explore the school during the break, but I already know most of the layout from the events, so there’s no need to go.

As I was thinking about that, Aile called out to me.

โ€œWhat was that just now?โ€

โ€œNothing, she just looked like she needed help.โ€

“No, that’s not like you. You used to be so self-centered.”

Is Elliott lonely and unpopular? He’s a really dangerous guy. I can’t bring myself to get close to him. Maybe I should just do whatever I want? That might be better. It’s only been a month since school started. I might still be able to make up for it.

โ€œYou’re so inconsistent. Be grateful.โ€

โ€œWell, thanks.โ€

With that, she opened her book again.
