Episode 15 – In just one day

How I, a Hated Person, Ended Up Staying With Three Beautiful Sisters

The next morning, I woke up to the soft touch of someone poking my cheek and a voice so close it tickled.

“Kojiro kun. Kojiro kun, wake up.”

When I opened my eyes slightly, there was Akane senpai with a smile on her face.

“…Huh?”

Her eyes, which had been swollen from crying the day before, were wide open, and her cheeks were slightly flushed.

She looked lively and energetic, almost blindingly so.

“Um, are you okay?”

“Are you really asking me that, Kojiro kun?”

“…I’m sorry.”

When I apologized, Akane senpai smiled softly.

“Hahaha ! I’m fine. No, I have to be fine ! Because you sacrificed yourself to help me ! I can’t blame you for that !”

That smile was probably the most beautiful expression I had seen since coming to this house.

“So let me say it again ! Thank you for helping me ! And I’m sorry for causing you so much trouble. There are still some things I’m not satisfied with, but I’m grateful to you anyway, Kojiro kun !”

“……”

For some reason, I felt embarrassed and glanced at the dining room.

On the white table were four plates.

Freshly baked bread, fluffy omelets, and colorful salads. The room was filled with a fragrant aroma.

“Are there guests coming?”

“Eh, why?”

“Because you’ve prepared four portions.”

“Kojiro kun, let’s eat together starting today !”

I was taken aback by the sudden invitation.

“……No way. Maho will get mad at me. I’ll probably be kicked out today.”

“That won’t happen. Maho chan understands, so don’t worry.”

Akane senpai’s words were filled with confidence.

At that moment, footsteps could be heard coming from the stairs next to the kitchen.

It was Maho.

She was dressed neatly in her uniform, her lustrous sapphire-blue long hair combed neatly, and she came down with her usual confident expression.

But strangely, she didn’t seem to be in a bad mood.

Rather, after glancing at my face, she left her gaze lingering as if she wanted to say something.

“What’s wrong?”

When I asked, Maho turned her face away and looked at her smartphone.

I couldn’t tell if she was in a good mood, a bad mood, or just normal. But the fact that she didn’t start complaining right away meant that she was in a slightly better mood than usual.

“…Oh, by the way.”

I sat on the sofa and glanced down at my feet.

My legs, hidden under the blanket, should have been wrapped tightly in rope. I had tied them myself before going to bed.

“Um, could someone untie the rope for me? I can’t move like this.”

As soon as I said that, I noticed that there was no discomfort around my ankles.

The rope that was supposed to be tied around them was completely untied, leaving no trace.

“…Huh?”

When I turned around, Miyu was chewing on toast, still looking sleepy, but she gave me a thumbs-up.

“I untied it earlier.”

She said it seriously, just that.

“Thanks.”

When I bowed my head slightly, Miyu nodded slightly and went back to concentrating on her bread.

“Oh, and ! No more ropes from today ! Is that okay, Maho chan?”

When Akane senpai clapped her hands, Maho’s eyes widened for a moment, then she immediately lowered her eyes and sighed.

“…Well, I guess it’s fine?”

That was all she said.

What’s with her? Is this really Maho?

“Do you have a fever or something? Should I take you to the hospital?”

“Huh? Are you crazy?”

“Don’t get so worked up, I’m just joking.”

Relieved that Maho was back to her usual self, I headed to the dining room and looked down at the plate that was handed to me.

The omelet had a small heart drawn on it with ketchup.

“…Did Akane senpai do this?”

“Yeah. Don’t you think it turned out well?”

“Please stop…”

“Eh? Why? It’s a heart omelet made with love !”

I could only sigh, but Akane senpai laughed happily, and Miyu, looking sleepy, was breaking apart the omelet and putting it in her mouth. The ketchup wasn’t in the shape of a heart.

It seemed that only my omelet had the heart drawn with love.

I didn’t understand it either, but my relationship with the three sisters didn’t break down.
