I Was Supposed to Be Giving Love Advice on the School Radio, but Before I Knew It, the Beautiful Girls at School Were Hitting on Me

“Thanks for your hard work.”

[ [Thanks for your hard work.] ]

It had been a while since I returned to my part-time job as it was, the peak had passed and most of the customers were already gone.

After finishing the accounting work, Kinami comes up to the counter in a short run.

“Manager, I’ve finished and the orders have stopped.”

“Okay, you’re good to go until the next customer arrives.”

“Okay, got it.”

Kinami leaned against the wall of the cash register and sighed.

I peeked at the situation from behind the counter, but nothing seemed different from before.

Since then, Kinami has never spoken to me.

It would have been a bit of a stretch to say that it was just bad timing since we were at work, but not seeing eye-to-eye with Kinami, who had been so involved with me whenever she had the chance, was quite an unusual situation.

At first I didn’t think it was a big deal, but it’s hard to feel comfortable with someone who is always so quiet.

Hmmm, I wonder what’s going on…….

“Something seems to be bothering you, boy.”

At that moment, I was tapped on the shoulder from behind.

I turned around and saw a lively-looking older woman with brown hair in a ponytail.

“Miharu san…..”

“You look so unhappy, what’s the matter?”

“No, actually……”

Miharu san is a hall staff member at Bianca.

She is a university student who works in customer service like Kinami, and works here alongside her band.

Since she’s close to our age, she’s someone who often gives us advice.

“I bet it’s about Maki chan.”

“You’ve got a good grasp of the situation.”

“You guys are so easy to understand. Maki chan doesn’t openly flirt with you after the break, and boy, you’ve been keeping an eye on her the whole time.”

Miharu san calls me “boy” for some reason. I’m sure she remembers my name, but when I asked her why, she just dodged the question with some vague answer.

“Did you guys have a fight?”

“Well, I wouldn’t say we had a fight…I guess you could say I got scolded one sidedly…”

“Hey, it’s rare for her to get angry.”

Miharu san raised her eyebrows in surprise.

I didn’t even tell her the a specific reason.

“I think I should probably apologize, but I don’t know if I should apologize for not knowing why….”

“I see. Women’s hearts are difficult to understand~”

“If you were on Kinami’s side, what would you want me to do?”

“Well, I have a lot of experience in love, I can tell you that……”

Miharu san put her chin on her chin and looked like she was thinking.

“I’m gonna give you a simple problem now, okay?”

“A problem?”

Miharu san nodded her head.

“First, Maki chan bought three mandarins. If she goes to buy one more, how many will there be?”

“…Four, are you making fun of me?”

In response to my answer, Miharu san suddenly turned up one corner of her mouth and shook her finger.

“First, I want you to ask me where I got the tangerines. Then I want you to come with me to buy the rest of the tangerines.”

“……What’s that?”

“Don’t you see? This is the nature of a girl.”

Senpai would lift her chin lightly and look at me with a scowl.

“Girls want you to show them interest in whatever way they want. And not just interest, they want you to spend time with them, like buying tangerines together. That’s the kind of creature they are.”

“Is that what you just meant? Not a simple arithmetic problem?”

“Yes, it’s a formula for a woman’s heart.”

Miharu san nodded broadly.

If she says so, then there must be no doubt about it. It’s complicated, a woman’s heart.

“So, what should I do in the end? Should I apologize to Kinami?”

“Uee !?”

When I asked the question, Miharu san froze as if she had been caught off guard.

“E-erm…….”

She was that Miharu san, so she must be able to give me some great advice.

I looked at her with expectant eyes.

“R-right……”

She turns her eyes around and around, trying not to make eye contact with me.

She’s probably going through the various possibilities in her mind right now.

“W-well ! Why don’t you just try to talk to her about anything?”

“I see, I understand !”

I replied briskly and turned toward Kinami.

I thought I heard Miharu sigh in relief behind me, but it was probably just my imagination.

Kinami was still leaning against the wall, looking down and appearing to be thinking about something.

“K-Kinami……?”

When I called out to her fearfully, she turned around and looked at me.

“What’s wrong, Senpai?”

“No, well, I’m sorry about earlier…….”

“Yes?”

“Well, it seems I said something that offended you. Besides, it wasn’t good to simply assume that you wanted something…”

I apologized flustered and slowly looked at Kinami’s face, where her mouth was open.

“Eh, why are you apologizing, Senpai?”

“I don’t know much about how girls feel, but as a senior, I don’t think it’s right to leave a junior upset……”

When I explained, Kinami sighed deeply.

“Hmm…just how much of a softy can you be…?”

Kinami looked down and muttered to herself.

Maybe she’s really angry after all…

She looked up at me, then let out a big sigh again.

“I’m not angry at Senpai to begin with.”

“Is that so?”

“Yes, I was just rather angry at Senpai’s radio.”

“R-radio……?”

I don’t even know what that means. Did I say something weird like that on the radio?

“Well, that’s fine. I pretty much understand the strategy, and I don’t think there’s any point in saying anything to a radio-idiot like Senpai anyway.”

“What?”

I’m not denying it, but what’s with the “post attack” approach?

When I lightly bit into it, Kinami laughed mischievously as usual.

“Come on, let’s get back to work. The customers are coming.”

“……I know !”

Whatever the case may be, this is definitely the end of the matter.

I glanced toward the counter and saw Miharu san giving a thumbs-up with a cynical smile on her face.

The door opens with a clanging bell.

It appears to be a customer. I raise the corner of my mouth and smile for customer service.

“Welcome…….”

However, my best smile was not kept until the end.

That’s also the reason why……

“I’m alone. Are there any seats available?”

Standing before the two of us was a man with long black hair and a familiar uniform.

It was Kitahara Yuzuha herself.
