When I Go Back in Time, My Ex-wife Is Making a Passionate Approach to Me, and I’m Having Trouble With It
We each take our seats and look at the menu. We want to order the standard pizza. We can share it with everyone.
We order a few other things as we see fit, and we fill up on juice from the drink bar. When everyone has returned to their seats, Tachibana clears her throat.
“Thank you, everyone, for your hard work. We were able to successfully sell out the club magazine. So, let’s have a toast!”
We clinked our glasses as Tachibana called out.
“I’ve never done anything like this before, so it’s kind of new for me.”
“It’s my first time too.”
“Well, me too.”
In the past, neither of us were in any clubs. That’s why this club atmosphere feels so fresh.
If we hadn’t time leaped, Tachibana would have been running the Literature Club all by herself, and it makes me think that it was a good thing that we did.
“You did your best, Tachibana.”
“What is it, senpai, suddenly?”
As Tachibana looked puzzled, I nodded repeatedly.
The food arrives. Haruka takes the initiative to cut the pizza.
“Now, about the future activities of the Literature and Art Club.”
While everyone was tucking into the food, Tachibana cleared her throat and said.
“From now on, choose between submitting work for a new writer’s award or serializing it online.”
Public competition or online competition. I have to choose one. I want to be a light novel writer. So I think I’ll go for the public competition.
“I’ll go for the open call. What about you?”
“I think I’ll go for the open call, too. My genre of writing is not popular on the Internet.”
It’s true that mystery is not popular on the Internet. In that sense, my romantic comedies are in demand on some sites.
It’s not like I want to be a novelist or anything, so I’ll just go online and write a series of articles at my leisure.
Certainly, if you are doing it as a hobby, posting online is the best option. The good thing about the internet is that you get feedback from readers. The appeal is that you can receive comments and feedback from readers immediately.
“What about Tachibana?”
“I’m going to do both.”
“You will do both?”
“Yes. I also write at home, so it is not so difficult to do both.
The fact that Tachibana is able to do both shows how highly conscious she is.
“How do you learn to write so well?”
“Well. I think you have to spend at least one hour at your desk every day.
If you make writing a habit, I think you will be able to write.”
Make it a habit, huh? It’s true that I don’t have a habit of writing at the moment. When I’m at home, I can’t help but read novels or watch anime. Since I’ve gone back in time, my desire to watch anime and novels that I haven’t read wins out over my desire to write.
But it’s not so difficult to set aside an hour every day. I don’t have a part-time job, and I don’t help out at home with housework. Studying is easier than the first time in my life because I only have to review what I have learned once. So I think I’ll set aside an hour every day to write, just like Tachibana said.
“If you are aiming for an open competition, do you want to become a professional?”
“Yes, I do. I think it’s a little too much for me to aspire to be a professional though.”
“I don’t think so. The beauty of novels is that anyone can aspire to be a novelist.”
It is true that anyone can become a novelist at any age, and that is the appeal of being a novelist. Since you have become young again, I think you can grow if you aim for it now.
“If you want, I’m supposed to meet with some of our former students next time.”
“Is that okay?”
“That person is a professional novelist, so if you want to be a professional novelist, there’s no harm in listening to what that person has to say”
“I’d love to go.”
“I’m fine. I’m not aiming to be a professional novelist.”
“When is it?”
“Next Sunday.”
Haruka was staring at her schedule book, then closed it and let out a sigh.
“I have plans that day, so I can’t go.”
Haruka and Kyoka will not be attending? I’ll have to listen to what that person has to say and tell Haruka
“I’ll just tell Shinohara-senpai to join us.”
“I’m counting on you.”
This is the first time for me and Tachibana to go out together, but I don’t have anything to worry about. It would have been helpful if Haruka had come, but I guess that can’t be helped.
“Have you met that OG person before, Tachibana?”
‘Yes, I have, only once. So this is the second time. That person will look at my work and give me advice.”
“I like that. I don’t have my work yet, so that person won’t see it though”
“I’m communicating by e-mail, so I’m sending my work beforehand.”
It is very nice to have a connection with a professional novelist. Tachibana is very conscious and, in my opinion, will surely become a professional. I don’t know Tachibana’s pen name. I don’t know what she would have done in the future. However, for Tachibana’s sake, it would be better not to know about the future. Tachibana is working hard with hope. There is no need to know about the future. I am sure that Haruka thinks the same way.
After that, we had a lively conversation. We tucked into the food and spent time talking like high school students. Three out of the four of us were in time leaps, but the fact that we were able to have a conversation like high school students must mean that our mimicry was perfect.
The party was a lot of fun and came to an end.
