When I Told My Bright and Beautiful Senpai at My Part-Time Job That I Was Quitting My Part-Time Job, She Became a Yandere
“Amagi-kun, I heard there’s an information session about the festival today.”
“Is it that time of the year already?”
At this school, the school festival is supposed to be held at the end of November, just before December, so it will probably be about two weeks later.
The first period of the day is for explaining the festival and the second period is for deciding what kind of performance the class is going to put on.
The explanation of the festival was basically what I knew without being told, but there was one word that bothered me in the teacher’s words
“Next, you are welcome to bring your family or anyone you know outside the school.”
Until last year, I wouldn’t have thought anything of it, but now it means a lot to me.
Of course, it is the presence of Kureha-senpai.
Last year, I had never even met her, but now she is my girlfriend.
I’m very happy to be able to invite that senpai to the festival.
Next, we finally had to decide what we were going to put on.
‘Well, who has an idea for a performance?”
The girl who stood at the podium and talked to me a lot seemed to be the facilitator, and she seemed to be the main person in the class after all.
…Or rather, I’ve been talking to Asuma and Murasame lately, so it’s less frequent, but I still get to talk to her every now and then.
“Here! How about a haunted house?”
“Haunted house….”
The other male student in the front holding the chalk wrote ‘haunted house’ on the blackboard, it’s a standard but it seems worthwhile, a haunted house is good.
…I’m not good at horror, so I’d prefer a receptionist if possible.
“Is there anything else?~”
“Maid cafés?~”
“Ha, A maid cafe?!?”
“That’s like an anime!”
Then a laugh broke out.
Regardless of anime or manga, I don’t think anyone would think that the idea of it being a maid cafe would be taken seriously, so it’s probably just a joke.
I’m sure the other students thought so too, but the female student who made the proposal seemed serious and thought through the details.
“But if it’s a maid café, the boys can’t do anything, so we’ll take it in shifts, with the first half being a maid café and the second half being a butler café, what do you think?”
“Eh… butler?”
“Does being a butler mean you get to see the butler’s uniform?”
For some reason, I feel a little bit of staring.
“No, it’s a joke, isn’t it?”
“But if it’s a joke, you’d think that much right…?”
The whole class began to buzz, and a male student holding a piece of chalk wrote ‘Maid and Butler Café’.
It would probably get out of hand if things continued like that, so I guess he’ll write it down just in case to move forward with the story.
“What else -?”
After that, there was a variety of content ranging from food and drink to art, and at the end of the day, we had to anonymously write on a piece of paper which entertainment we were going to put on.
I wrote ‘haunted house’ on the paper, because Kureha-senpai likes horror and I wanted her to enjoy it.
The majority voted, no matter which one we put on, there will be no hard feelings, but if possible, I hope it will be the haunted house.
“Yes, the results of the vote are in…”
The class is silent, waiting for the next facilitator to speak.
And then…
“──── with a total of 19 votes, it’s decided to be a maid/butler cafe!”
“…Eh?”
The whole class is buzzing, and of course I was surprised too.
I never thought they would actually decide on that one.
And 19 votes in total, the majority of the class voted for it.
“Eh? No way.”
“Seriously, I was only joking.”
“Me too.”
“I wanted to see him in his butler’s uniform….”
“Me, too.”
“Me too. I want to see the maids.”
Various opinions are flying around.
…Honestly, I was shocked because I had imagined that I would be happy when I told Kureha-senpai that we had decided on a haunted house, but I guess it can’t be helped if it’s already been decided.
“Well, for now, today we’re just deciding on the performances for the school festival…that’s it! This is free time!~”
“Ouu~!”
Each student began to talk about the festival in different ways.
When I was about to go to Asuma, who is almost the only one I can call a friend in the class, Asuma came towards me.
“The school festival looks like fun.”
“Eh, is Asuma also interested in maid uniforms and butler uniforms?”
“No, I’m not interested in that at all, but it’s something you can only experience at the cultural festival, and I think Amagi will go round with me this year.”
“Of course I’ll go with you, I’m looking forward to the festival… Oh, but I think I’ll probably be busy in the afternoon at the butler café, so I’ll go in the morning, on the first day.”
The festival takes place over two days, so I told him that I would be spending the first day with Asuma tomorrow.
“Yeah, of course I won’t interfere with your time with Hiori-san, that’s enough for me.”
“Nobody said anything about spending time with Kureha-senpai!”
“Huh? Amagi-kun, have you been calling Hiori-san by her first name?”
“Ah…”
“So there’s been progress in your relationship, congratulations.”
“Shut up!”
I covered my ears and lay face down, concentrating on hiding the blush on my face.
…I’m looking forward to the school festival with Kureha-senpai.
